Q: Hi, Does GE recommend this bulb for use in an outside ceiling fixture enclosed on all six sides, a four sided trapezoidal shape of 6x4x4 inches inside dimensions in a breezeway location. If not, why?

Q: Can I put this bulb in a ceiling fixture rated for a 60W incandescent bulb

A: Yes. The bulb is approximately the same size as a 60 watt incandescent bulb so it will fit. The purpose of the original rating takes the heat and power requirements into consideration. An LED bulb uses substantially less power and generates far less heat (almost none) than a 60 watt bulb, so you will be fine.

They bring a cool daylight feel. They also give off a energizing feel to a otherwise super dark area. These bulbs also provide a small savings over the lifespan of the bulb to your pocketbook. Over all I am happy with the bulbs and would get them again in the future. Will probably upgrade out garage light now too.

I wanted clean bright light for 2 office lamps, to replace 100w ones. Unfortunately, these have been made too tall/long to fit into the space on the lamp. They are 1.5" longer than the previous bulbs (some eco). They are also longer that the same brand in a "60w", which does fit but doesn't provide nearly enough light.

They are do bright just like daylight in your home. I put one in my living room and another in my kitchen where we spend most of our time. I have issues with my eyes because of albiism and these bulbs allow me to see everything much clearer.

We have two lamps in the room but the high ceilings do feel like they did the lights in there. That feeling is why I was so excited to try these refresh daylight bulbs, I didn't want night to be fully day but I did want the light to refresh the room after the sun had gone down. They are as easy to install as any other bulb. The design sheds its light from the top of the bulb which I think works best for lamps. The light is bright, and as opposed to sunlight it is cool. The crispness is nice, makes people and objects easy to see at night in the room. Lastly I love that it is led which saves over traditional bulbs. If you need to really brighten a space that can get dark even with a lamp on I would recommend these bulbs.
