Your fixture should always be turned on with the fixture switch to maintain connectivity and control them through the Cync app. Once they have been setup within the Cync app you can turn them on and off at any time, or you can create schedules for the Cync bulbs to turn on and off at designated times. Q: will this bulb work in the Target Torchier floor lamps with a 3 -way switch on it, discription on the lamp states 3 way bulb should be used ( low-Med-High) 50-100-150W type.

They can be used on combined networks that have both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz network bands. They disconnect so easily now I've been getting these for years and planned to buy them for my whole house when I moved but they stopped connecting to my phone they've turned into normal lights and some that I bought the app can no longer even recognize so those turn on whenever they feel like

I wouldn't say they were easy setup I had to call tech support to get them going and it was quite a involved process but now that they're set up running them through my Alexa is easy peasy but set up was not easy

I have smart lights and can use my Alexa to operate them. I decided to try these Cync full color bulbs to try them out and give it a go. Result, very happy I did, bulbs have a vast array of colors, set up is a breeze through Alexa and when I turn on my stereo system, these bulbs "dance" to the beat of my heavy metal music! You can have Alexa set up different color combinations for leaving your home, returning home, getting up in the morning and going to bed at night and then turning them off. Very nice purchase, definitely worth the money and I would definitely recommend these lights. Set up in minutes and have a blast!

Ask for too much information just to be able to dim the light or change the color. Asks for wifi password location Bluetooth and you have to make an account. Why does it need all these permissions to have a light bulb.

Bad connection issues

These constantly have connection issues. I have tlink bulbs that rarely have issues but both GE sync bulb purchases have issues where it disconnect and Alexa can't turn them on or off. I've tried setting it on a schedule and it just doesn't work. Would not recommend.

Great light, easy to set up , connect to bluetooth. The wifi first needs to be connect to the app to work and start using the different options to get the display of lights, if you have multiple bulbs in different area. The luminosity is great for a small area. In my opinion these colorful bulb are great for overhead light to get the best results.
