No where on the box did it mention that it can only run on a 2.4 WiFi band. Tried to install it regardless of my WiFi and it didn’t work. How was I supposed to know before taking it home?

Love them. I have 4 in use, in the picture. Bought them specifically for outdoor lights so I could do holiday colors (Valentines day currently) without changing bulbs all the time, and to also have them on a timer for auto shut off/turn on. So many color options, App was a breeze, I have other Govee products inside the house so I’m familiar with the product. Bulbs connect to home WiFi so u can control them from anywhere. But if you don’t want to use WiFi, they connect via Bluetooth for use close by

I disliked that the lights bulbs were just bought a week ago and now the light bulbs don’t work. The light bulbs stopped connected to the govee app as well. I was able to use them a just for a little awhile and wasn’t able to enjoy the great quality that was recommended to me.

I've had these for over a year and have had no real issues! I love the flexibility and the fact that I can change it from my phone (although I do wish I could buy a remote for it). You can get different values if you lower the brightness. I wish Govee had a wider range of bulbs it offered though so if you plan to buy for around your house, I would consider what bulbs you need so you can avoid having different apps for different brands.

Its great light, but for long term use there is an issue. the H6003 requires 2.4Ghz wi-fi band to set it up and continue controlling the lights. Your phone is probably on a 5Ghz wifi band. it won't connect to the light or control them after setup if you move your phone back to the faster wi-fi. Each light has to be setup individually. There is no batch change option that I've found in the app.

I've been using Hue bulbs since probably 2016? This year I started upgrading my other lights to Govee and grabbed one of these to make it easier to control all my bedroom lights. I think my Hue might have been a little bit brighter, but for a bedroom lamp that doesn't really matter. The different modes on this bulb are so much fun. You can use the different music and dreamview modes to sync with other Govee lights, but I find most of the bulb settings to be too fast or flashy and operate the bulb separately. I wish you could customize the speed or remove the flashes like you can on the rope light. With so many modes to choose from, this really isn't a big deal. I love being able to control everything with Alexa, iPhone shortcuts, or the app. I keep this bulb near a hanging plant and was worried about the temperature, even after hours of use there hasn't been any heat.

I bought this item with the purpose of changing the lights to colors to the rhythm of the music, and it works when I enter the app and press that mode, but when I exit the app, it resets. I bought two of them, and while one works in the app with the music, the other one doesn't. I think it's a software issue. Can you help me with this matter?

Love the lights and the GOVEE app. However, so far the smart bulbs have not responded correctly to the automation I set up using the GOVEE app. I've set the automation so the bulbs are supposed to change from “Christmas"theme over to to solid white at 1am each day and, so far, each early morning they do not switch but instead just turn completely off. So, I love the idea of being able to control them from the GOVEE app - but it doesn't seem to work.

These are not cone-shaped bulbs for recessed lights like advertised. Now I have these huge gaps between the bulb and shielding. Just looks bad when compared to Philips Hue bulbs. Unfortunately, they have it in their app as H6010 but please note that these are not them.
