Q: Are these lead free? Are they non toxic? How are they made? What materials are used to make them? I am interested because LEAD does accumulates in our bodies.
A: Thanks for sharing. What did you use to test them?
submitted byV - 2 years agoA: Hello! Excellent question! The MBD dinnerware line is made from 100% opale glass, making them non-toxic (no lead) and extremely durable! Thanks for checking in, and have a great day!

Q: Are these made with material similar to "corelle" ? I am wondering about durability with small grandchildren. Thanks. GK
A: Hi GK - Great question! This dinnerware set is made from durable tempered glass that is thermal-shock resistant as well as microwave and dishwasher safe. They are perfect for any occasion. Thanks for stopping by! - Matt
submitted byguest services - 7 years agoTarget staff supportA: Like Corelleware, these dishes are made of tempered glass. I will clarify that Corelleware is made using three (3) layers of glass, but I haven't come across anything to tell one how many layers of glass are involved with this dinnerware. Judging by the looks and its origin (France) it is likely made by a company called Luminarc. You may wish to check out their website to learn more.
submitted byLiam - 6 years agoA: Unfortunately two have smashed in the first month so I’m thinking I’m going to have to buy corelle instead. They are pretty and light but not good for my clumsy 5 year old.

Your question popped up in our platform this morning, but the others have not come through for us. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Q: Why are the dinner plates so large? They don't fit into my dishwasher and they look ridiculous on my small table.
A: Hi Rita, We apologize that the MBD 10.7" Dinner plate did not meet your needs. We do offer a smaller MBD plate that is 7.4". Traditionally, a standard dinner plate has typically had a diameter of 10.5 inches.
