Kids/Toddler measuring guide

Use the tips & visuals in this guide to make taking your child's body measurements easy-peasy.

Don’t have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

Standing with feet together and back to a wall. Measure from floor to the top of the head.

  • Chest

Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

My family was so exited to have the glass water bottle for our todler. It really does have a good design, but unfortunately with a flaw - it is leaking.

Wonderful Cup

I love this cup! I bought it primarily for the glass insert, since I’m looking to minimize plastic usage. There are several parts to the cup, but once you’re used to it it’s no big deal. Handles, lid, and 2 spout options (straw or sippy) are both great. We’ve had it for a few months now and it’s endured many throws on to the ground without any breakage. This is by far my most reached for cup for my child!

I am crying over SPILLED milk!!!!

Broken lamp blues - 7 months ago, Verified purchaser
Lid easily unscrews spilling milk EVERYWHERE. It only screws for like 1/4 of a turn so if it untwists the smallest amount, when you pick it up it will fully unscrew losing all your precious milk. The straw is way too long pushing up on the lid, further inciting the full twisting off. We’re now out of milk and have two hours left on our trip home. Pray for us!

Why does the handle spin?

I love everything about this sippy cup except that the handle spins! It's really a shame because the cup is otherwise well made and thoughtfully designed. But... I feel like this is such an obvious miss that it almost defeats the purpose of the cup, as it makes it really difficult for the little ones to get the mouthpart in the right position to bring it to their lips.

These are great! Suction works a little too well/seems like the hole to help with suction on the straw piece should be a tiny bit bigger but otherwise these are great!

Just received mine today, love how it has the glass inner chamber to prevent my toddler from ingesting microplastics. I took one star away though because it did come with a defect in the plastic (picture attached). Love the colour though!

Good cup!

My daughter loved her old glass 4 oz sippy so much we had to get another. A little sad it already has a crack in the bottom-she’s pretty hard on her things and still throws and drops sometimes. However the old one took much longer to get a crack in the top plastic part. Not sure if this one got it because it’s skinnier, or if it’s because of different material. We’ll still use them both until they fall apart! Love Green Sprouts products.

Love this cup but it's a little tippier than the 4 ozs. We use these cups with our special needs girlie and have a cup holder that holds it in place for her during use. This cup doesn't fit our mold like the other ones, so I have to hand hold it. BUT when I pulled out the new yellow color she was so happy!!!

Great nontoxic cup option. I got several of the old models and loved them. These are slightly larger. The one problem I have with them is the handles don’t fit on as well as the old models.

Not my favorite

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think for my liking there are too many parts. It come with 2 different nipples. One for a sippy cup, one for a straw. It is made good, but a little heavy. It has a glass insert and plastic that goes over it. It all comes apart for washing. There is a gasket like thing that hooks on to the straw spout and the straw fits on that. It comes with a handle that can be put on before the lid. Very well made.

Cool cup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cup is pretty neat. I love that the part of the cup that touches the liquid is made of glass instead of plastic and that the rest is made of plants. It has several ways to use the cup, as either a sippy or a straw cup. The downside is that there are quite a few pieces to wash, especially when used as a straw cup. It’s also pretty heavy so might be hard for younger babies to use. My 19 month old is fine with it though.

I decided to try the 5 oz cups after being happy with the 4 oz. The glass broke after the first drop from the high chair, some tiny little pieces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the idea of glass covered by plastic so that my toddler can enjoy his drink with little supervision, he has thrown it across the room twice and it has proven to be very durable and "child-proof". What I disliked about the cup is that the glass that holds the drink is very small and my son finishes up his drink in about 3 sips. If your child takes their time drinking this might be the one for yall but most children I know don't.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a love/hate cup in our household. I wish we had gotten it earlier so we could have used the youngest options, but both my 4 year old and almost 2 year old love the sippy cup option! I like the look and am impressed with how well everything is made and goes together. However, I hate that to wash and store it its 50 pieces (dramatic I know, but it's a pain)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had about a month to test out the product and we're glad that we got one. Our kid sometimes prefers sippy cup and other times a straw, so this product offers both features. We greatly appreciate knowing the product is based out of plants so that we're much more eco friendly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My one-year-old daughter loves this sippy cup. I'm trying to wean her from breastfeeding. This sippy cup is perfect to use at night. I have been using it for about a month. I mostly give it to my daughter during bedtime, but I also give it to her in the daytime. It has two spouts: a straw and a sippy spout. It also comes with a safety shield to prevent any glass from coming through in case of breakage. I don't use the safety shield because it slows down the flow too much for my daughter. She has a hard time drinking if it's on. The straw leaks a little, but the sippy spout hasn't leaked. I use the straw during the day and the other spout during bedtime. My daughter has thrown and dropped this sippy cup several times. Thankfully it is very durable. The glass hasn't cracked or broke yet. The glass fits in between the outer plastic shell. The bottom cover screws into the outer shell with the glass sitting in the middle, keeping it protected from breaking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My grandkids enjoy using the Sip & Straw Cup by Green Sprouts. This cup is easy for their small hands to hold and has not leaked. I like that it has removable handles and can be used as a sippy or with a straw, depending on the development stage. This glass cup is a very durable, well-made, and safe design. It has survived many falls. Easy to clean, and unlike plastic cups, I know the glass has not absorbed any build-up or germs. I plan to buy more. Totally recommend!

Nice transition cup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a nice transition cup. It helps going from a bottle to a straw. It is great for toddlers who no longer need a bottle but you don’t want the mess of an open cup! The only thing I worry about is the glass but it is made really well.
