Q: I just bought this bed and we have a 10 inch mattress on top. It feels extremely low to the ground. Can we add a box spring or some type of additional layer under the mattress? Any suggestions?

The bed does not come with a mattress. The mattress pictured is a lifestyle photo that shows you what the bed looks like when it's complete. This was not easy to assemble at all. Took 2 persons and the wood slates are cheap (they arrived very warped)! They could not even fit the frame - most were too short. Cheaply made.

The bed itself is nice. The quality is decently for the price. Unfortunately it’s not very sturdy the planks are very cheap and bendable. We added our own 2x4s so it would not break down. The first night we laidback on it it fell.

We we have had this bed frame for a little over 1 year. We purchased the California king size and after rearranging once two of the middle support legs broke off and a side support leg broke as well. Very cheaply made!

I have had this bed frame for 4 months and it has already broken in 2 places. One of the wood legs and the wood supporting the mattress have broken. It's now unusable after 4 months.

I love the look of the grey. It’s dark but I love that against my white walls. The slates are cheap.. like REALLY cheap. I’m willing to just replace those since the rest of the bed isn’t cheap.

Really good product for the money! There was a little bit of offgassing the first two days but after that the scent was fine! I have a king size adjustable base and it fits perfectly! The darker gray color is nice and doesn’t skew blue (which is an issue with some dark gray fabrics). Overall I’m very happy! It is heavy so be prepared!
