Global Healing Valerian, Herbal Support for Restful Sleep (2 Oz)

This was expensive and took a long time to receive. It was alright, but there are stronger tinctures available that work much better.

Very calming effect

I was having issues with my sleep patterns. I would fall asleep fine, but wake up a few hours later and not be able to get back to sleep. Normally, I dissolve a Kali Phos tablet under my tongue when this happens, but it didn't seem to be working. After more than a week of this, I discovered Global Healing's Valerian. I took it as suggested, 1ml in the afternoon and another just before bed. WOW!!! I slept SO good! It's just as other reviews state: you sleep deep, but there is no grogginess or fatigue when you wake up. I tried taking it just once before bed and skipping the afternoon dose and I noticed it wasn't as effective. Following the suggestion is recommended. Also, as other reviewers have stated, if you've never smelled valerian before, it does have an off-putting, stinky sock smell. At least, from a distance; when you're really up close you can smell other notes that are more earthy/floral. I initially took it with a glass of water, but now I just take a sip of water, hold it in my mouth and add the shot of valerian before swallowing. Despite the smell, the flavor is not gross at all, just sweet. If you're having issues with sleep, I highly recommend this! It's inexpensive and extremely effective without any negative side effects. Also, fun fact: I learned through this supplement that valerian has a similar effect as catnip for cats! My cats kept sniffing the bottle. (Warning: don't give this to your cats, though. Only straight, unprocessed valerian root is okay for them while this stuff has glycerin that they shouldn't consume.)

I have tried different brands of Valerian root extract in the past but this is by far the best ! It is very pristine and has a deep flavor. I also like that it comes in a glass bottle. I only need one drop before bedtime and it helps me reach delta sleep !

I usually don't have much difficulty falling asleep, but STAYING asleep has been a serious problem for a very long time. Since taking this Valerian I sleep 5.5-6 hours without waking, which is a huge improvement. I also typically drift back to sleep again. I am very grateful I started this supplement, as nothing else 'natural' has ever worked for me. I don't care for the taste, but I don't want to drink much before bed, so I follow a dose with a 'shot' of water. I take one dose late afternoon as well, using same method or drink more. Simple water washes out the taste.

I take valerian at night when I can't fall a sleep. It helps me to unwind and fall a sleep fast.

I sleep better at night and feel relaxed since I'm taking valerian.

I've been taking this as directed and not only has it helped me to get a betters nights sleep but it's also just helped me with general anxiety. I started using this Fall of 2020. I have arthritis in my neck and often have a hard time falling into deep restful sleep. This has helped to calm me in a nontoxic way to get much needed rest.
