Google Nest Hub Max

Item was bought as a Christmas gift. Recipient has no complaints, so far!

I’ve had this for almost two years and it still works great! The only issue I have is that if I’m streaming video from my security cameras, sometimes it drops the stream and I have to exit and reopen the video. Other than that, everything works great! I’ve used it outside at parties to play music and the speaker is loud enough and clear enough for a backyard party. I’ve done video calls which have worked fine. I listen to music on it (Spotify) all time time with no issues. My daughter watches YouTube on it, and we have used it many times to cast videos from our phones. Love it!

Love this item it completes my set! I have 2 mini nests (for my bathrooms) & the regular size nest hub (display) placed in bedrooms! This is in my kitchen and I can ask for any recipe while I cook and see/hear it immediately. Play music while I clean up the common areas or ping the other rooms/bathroom all from the kitchen using my hub max. I love this device!

Warning! Do not buy! We’ve bought 4 of these, as we live away from family with small kids, so gave them to each of our parents’ households to have video chat and just generally enjoy the features. They used to work pretty well. Of course there were some bugs. We were never able to hook up our security cameras like they said, our other, interior camera system worked fine. However, over the last year the video quality of calls has been abysmal. To the point where it’s frustrating because you talk over each other with the delay. Or your screen goes black, etc. Now, you don’t even get caller id. You have to download a THIRD app to add contacts and another if you want to use the device as a camera now. You can also no longer “call home”, a feature I used often on business travel. They are just stripping features left and right. No more recipes. No more functioning podcasts player. No more easy commands. The “hey google…” now only gets an appropriate response one if ever 20 tries. It’s so maddening. We will be switching to Amazon devices, and buying 4 of them…ridiculous.

Works great and makes for a great home hub. Nice large screen with a camera and speaker so you can make video calls using Google Duo to other Google users. It displays photos from your gallery while not in use and is great for showing recipes, playing music or setting reminders. This is the brain of our kitchen.

I use it to control some smart devices which is does ok, but also like to stream music. It is supposed to be compatible with Spotify but does not work well. I will play Spotify and no sound comes out, 20 minutes later it will play half of a song and cut off. I also have an Alexa on my same WiFi that never has this issue.

Totally bummed. Bought before Christmas as a gift for my 80 year old in-laws. The unit delivered was defective. My husband tried to exchange in store for a working model. He was pressured into a refund. Now I have to re-purchase for 2x what I paid previously. Totally disappointed in the Google and in Target

When I used it for my second day, it connected in the morning but it did not in the afternoon and it was a pain. Will return the device soon.

The screen could be much more intuitive. The sound quality is good but I prefer my Nest Audio.. Best feature is that you can stream video from your phone to it. I’d buy again on sale. 129.99

this product is a great addition to all of my other google home items. the screen is large enough to see without having to wear my glasses. the voice recognition is excellent.

There’s like a glitch I believe on all of them when installing, so the menu from right to left can open you have to u plug and plug right back in. Somehow that works . Other than that I love it !

It doesn't hold connection to the internet for very long. I have it right next to the router. I have found most Google products have this problem. Camera works fine but the nest is offline alot.

I had the smaller version of this google nest so decided I would like to upgrade. I enjoy the larger screen size. It is also equipped with a camera which is kind of convienent for when you are away. I turn this function off when I am home. It functions well and I know there is so much more I could do with it, just need to find the time to play around with it.

works great but Google is suddenly disabling video calls this month - less than a year after we bought three for our kids to stay in touch with grandparents. Video calls is THE POINT of a device of this type - as advertised by Google. Should be able to return for a refund

It's good if you don't already have the smaller version or if you need 2 way video.

The large vibrant display has become the centerpiece of my hearth room, displaying my favorite pictures. With its integrated camera, I can easily check on one kid downstairs while I'm upstairs putting the other one down for a nap. It has truly become my go-to assistant for my ADHD brain, helping me control my smart home devices, stream my favorite music, and everything in-between. It has seamlessly blended into my life, making it more convenient, connected, and enjoyable.

Do not buy this. the camera does not work and won't work no matter how many times you reset the device or your Wi-Fi. I feel like either google is disabling the feature or they are selling these with broken cameras. At this point it is a giant clock for the living room.
