  • A: This is the "no Gen assigned" pencil :) . It's AFTER 1st Gen & 2nd Gen and SHOULD be the 3rd Gen but NOPE. It's the USB-C "Gen" lol! After USB-C "Gen" is called Pro, abandoning Generation altogether.

    I had bought this in March of 2026, not even a month later around 3 weeks later it breaks without anyone or anything breaking it. Not only did it break easily it doesn’t even come with extra tips for it. I am unhappy and frustrated because I use it a lot for school and work and now I can’t even use it all all and now have to buy another one.

    No instructions

    It's fine, it does what it's supposed to do. My issue is that it doesn't include ANY instructions about how to set it up or use it. For an $80.00+ item, that's unacceptable. So to save you all some trouble, if you have an A16 it IS compatible but in order to pair it you need to turn on Bluetooth, then hook it up to the IPad using a (not included) USB cord. As far as actually using it is concerned, I can't help you. So far all I've been able to figure out is how to use it to write something in the notepad.

    ARTISTS BEWARE

    Good cheaper pen for note taking but NOT if you’re planning on using this for sketching or art. There is no pressure sensitivity at all. It would be considered a glorified stylus if not for the apple exclusive shortcuts. Unfortunately, the pressure sensitivity is one of the defining features of an apple pencil to me.
