  • A: This is the "no Gen assigned" pencil :) . It's AFTER 1st Gen & 2nd Gen and SHOULD be the 3rd Gen but NOPE. It's the USB-C "Gen" lol! After USB-C "Gen" is called Pro, abandoning Generation altogether.

  • A: They go: 1st generation, 2nd generation, USB-C "generation", then Pro "generation". Don't try to make sense of it but there are actually 4 generations...only 2 have the generation 'nomenclature'.

ARTISTS BEWARE

Good cheaper pen for note taking but NOT if you’re planning on using this for sketching or art. There is no pressure sensitivity at all. It would be considered a glorified stylus if not for the apple exclusive shortcuts. Unfortunately, the pressure sensitivity is one of the defining features of an apple pencil to me.

I love my USB-C Apple Pencil

I purchased the USB-C Apple Pencil as a gift for myself. I love it so much. Works wonderful with my iPad mini 6. I don’t mind the USB-C charging method for the price. It works great. Mind the pencil tip as it is small and may unscrew then fall. I find myself checking it but that should be standard practice anyway. It took a while to work outside the box. Charging the Apple Pencil upon brand new unboxing is recommended.
