Q: On the box it says 25 mile distance on the top, and on the side it says 16 mile iding distance. And the description here says 20 miles. Why would the box specifically say two different speeds, and the item description says a completely different value?

A: I get around 12 miles if I’m lucky with no type of little hills (river bed). When you get to 1 bar of battery it will slow down and then will will gradually become slower and slower.

Q: What is the actual range for the Tour XP? The product listing here says the range is up to 25 miles per charge. However, GoTrax shows 15.5 miles per charge, and the manual that came with the scooter says 16 miles.

The scooter has garnered mixed feedback from guests, with many praising its speed, battery life, and ease of use. It is particularly appreciated for its performance on city streets and its ability to handle rough terrain. However, concerns about durability, brake reliability, and customer service experiences have been noted. Overall, it offers a fun and practical solution for urban commuting and leisure rides, making it a worthwhile investment for many.

Son used it for 3 months and rear tire is deflated. Went to the website to look for replacement parts and this model is not available. There's also no informationon how to replace the tires yourself.

Love this scooter!! It is so fast and doesn’t stall going up hills. My husband bought name brand for himself and it lags going up hills and doesn’t have the pep this scooter does. My only wish is that this scooter had turn signals.

This scooter broke within 6 months of buying it. Customer service for GoTrax does not honor their 2 year warranty and they will ignore you no matter where you file a complaint. GoTrax has 1 star reviews on Google and horrible reviews on the BBB Target does nothing to rectify the problems with GoTrax either. My son liked the scooter when it worked, but I promise you once it breaks, and it will break, GoTrax will do absolutely nothing to help you and neither will Target. But any other brand but GoTrax. I would even go so far to say don’t buy from Target because shame on them for not helping anyone with this horrible company.

I am a male, weighing 145 pounds. The scooter has 2 speed levels, and it is correct in which the scooter goes 20mph top speed. It’s my 3rd day with this scooter, so I need to see if the range is accurate as mentioned in description. This was a great investment, no more Ubers, ever hopefully. 😂

First of all it's range is not even 13 miles with moderate hills(not too much). I fully charged it and it went 12 miles and then I charged again for 1 and a half hours and it worked for another 3 miles that's it.. this is just an expensive and useless piece of tech I have ever used. Please don't buy it unless you want useless steal in your house..

Do not buy this item. The back tire shredded from the inside after only 5 months. Had it professionally repaired and shredded again within a week. The Gotrax customer service said it wasn’t their problem. What a complete waste of money.

Someone recently stole my scooter. They broke the built-in lock and were either able to break the electric code or they just took the whole thing without the code. I think I may be getting the same one because you get what you pay for and I don't have time to do research on other scooters, but I will echo some other reviews. My main frustrations with this scooter are its squeaky breaks that are unreliable. If someone or something jumps in front of you without notice, YOU WILL CRASH. The breaks are not good and make aweful noise. Secondly, they advertise 25 miles per charge and its not true. you will be lucky to get 8 miles if you're going on the slower speed or 5 miles if your going on the fastest speed. Thirdly, DO NOT TRUST THE LOCK. I will be buying my own ultra durable lock like the ones you buy for a bike. I made the mistake of trusting this lock and its now costing me a whole new scooter -- $600!

My son has only been able to ride this scooter for the past couple months. He loved it, charge lasted long and ride well. However after only riding it a couple months, the rear fender broke at the screws and the side reflectors broke completely off. Unfortunately, trying to get parts for this specific model if hard and are out of stock. This item is too expensive to break after a couple months and unable to get parts means it’s out of commission.

Defect or just cheap plastic parts...

Overall it’s a decent scooter but not sure if it’s a defect or quality of the plastic but most if not all of the plastic parts will start to crack or break off and not to mention the screws that hold all the plastic part to the scooter might get damage if you try to unscrew them with any type of force. Gotrax website sells parts… but most of the part needed for this one particular model are all sold out…. It’s not a toy and for how much I spent it should not break this easily.

Scooter was liked by all four of my kids but my only concern is if anyone else has come across any break issues? We were outside one day and my 16 year old and 15 year old were taking turns riding it. When my 15 year old got her turn again, she was trying to get the scooter to slow down. Come to find out, it wasn’t breaking as it should have, and dove face into the concrete-parking barrier and ended up in the hospital. My 16 year later told us she was having trouble with it as well but was eventually able to get it to work. So not sure if this was just with us or anyone else had a similar concern with the breaks. Side note: They’re familiar with using electric scooters, personal and the ones we rent in the city.

After less than 6 months of ownership of the GoTrax Tour XP both tires ended up popping. Since I live in an area that unfortunately sees a lot of debris on the driving paths (ie. sharp rocks, glass pieces, etc) I opted to buy airless tires. When trying to replace them the front wheel rim wouldn't unscrew the two pieces, I reached out to Support (which is a whole other review I could write about) and was basically told "don't use the fully rubber tire, buy our tires instead". Yes, the tires that are currently out of stock and very susceptible to popping. The only reason it's not 1 star is because when the scooter works it works well, and the foldability is convenient. But if you're someone who is expecting to be able to perform the most basic maintenance on it - like changing a tire - then look elsewhere for a different scooter.

So I bought this when in a pinch and I crashed my car, it was a good replacement for the first 30 miles, although it doesn't get you 20-25 miles maybe 10-12 if your LUCKY (I weigh 180 pounds) and carry a 20 pound backpack. After the first 30miles the disc breaks began to rub against the tires causing me to have reduced mileage, after 50 miles the rear tire popped, finding a place that will fix it was a pain in the butt. I looked for replacement tires without a tube and having trouble finding the right spec, while the website GOTRAX sells almost everything but items for THIS MODEL... this is why I do not rate this highly, because it is hard to get the parts you need for this particular model, heck it isn't even advertised on their website unless you search it!
