Govee RGBIC Table Lamp

I like being able to create my own patterns and colors. Then using other ones that people have created. Being able to set the mood for listening to music or reading or sleeping with the press of a button is nice. The colors are pretty and vibrant. I'm so happy I bought this. Amazing product!

In short: Save your money for the next version… Overall the colors and patterns are nice, but sometimes when (from automation) you instruct it to go to a specific percentage, it does this weird thing where it turns on full brightness first then lowers to the programmed level. Other brands of lights don’t have the same bug so it’s clearly a software bug on these lamps. Also, chrome hasn’t been in style for years, so the use of chrome-plated plastic at the bottom doesn’t match any style. If anything it should either be black or brushed nickel (muted, not glossy). More importantly, it has a motion touch mode for easy turn-on at night (but it’s based on vibration, not contact). Vibration-based makes it unreliable and slow to respond - even with adjusting sensitivity, you’ll have to juggle it or hit it (or the table) several times before it reacts. What would have been far more intelligent would have been to make it touch-sensitive at its base (and not during just a specific time window, but all the time). The controls are on the top, so when in bed you may not be able to target the top easily, but you can easily find the side (hence why touch would have been an intelligent addition). We ended up having to buy (separately) Matter-based remote controls to mount on the bed-side tables, just to offer a reliable control for it when you’re tired. I also wish the brightness were in the 1200-1500lm range, to truly allow these to be a viable replacement for traditional lamps with an LED bulb). I hope they fix these design flaws in a new version (though, then I’ll be frustrated that I spent money on these).

Very cool lamps. Love the light selection and brightness low and high. I do wish that automation would include a brightness and color setting. They always turn on in the same color and brightness that they were at when last on. Schedules should include color and brightness along with time .

Love these for night lights throughout the house. A bit expensive but nice.

Not that big of an upgrade from the original table lamp, I thought there was gonna be more. I got two of the originals and I like them just as much as the new one not a big upgrade from the first model.

Fantastic lamp. Wish it would go dimmer. Options are plentiful and there a lot of presets.

This is a great light for our game room. Love the ability to draw shapes and have them move. Keeps the game room run and exciting.

This light is really cool. It looks really sharp and the options for colors and patterns is pretty cool. The only drawback is that it doesn’t light up a room quite like a regular lamp. Even on the highest setting it’s a bit harsh but… I still love it! Just don’t try and use it as the only light in a room.

Nice product but a tad on the expensive side. Inexpensive plastic with LED's isnt much material cost.

So many cool designs and light options for this lamp, bright enough to get the job done! Thinking of buying more!

Amazing lamp. It is so soothing and have it on when working. The app works perfectly. The lamp is good quality.

Works great with the Govee app. Lots of options, including sound reactive effects. Also compatible with Matter (and home assistant) but the options are very limited there (to on/off/solid color)

This lamp is so much fun but not being able to have two different users connected to the app is lame. Me and my partner have to fully reconnect to it depending on who wants to use it. Why wouldn't it host multiple users at one time? I would not recommend fully based on that.

I searched all over but couldn't find any information on how to make it work with Samsung SmartThings. Eventually I figured it out. To get it to work, when plugging it in you need to setup Matter first, before the Govee App. Initially I setup the Govee app and then spent hours trying to get SmartThings to connect with it. That resulted in a lot of frustration and the light never working with SmartThings. After getting SmartThings working and then connecting to the Govee App, it works great. I am really happy with this purchase.

Great lamp that provides interesting patterns. It can get pretty bright. The lamp is somewhat configurible but I wish it provided better configuration for tech savy users.
