A: Atomic is bright red, not pink at all.

Q: I purchased this seat for our son. Love the latch system! We want to get one for my husband's truck. It has no anchors front or rear. Can we still use this seat safely?
A: Thank you for your interest in the Graco Affix Youth Booster Seat. The Latch system on this car seat is to secure the booster seat to the vehicle seat when the seat is unoccupied and is not needed for installation. You can safely use this car seat without the latch system since the vehicle belt will secure your child.
submitted byGraco Consumer Care - 7 years agoBrand expertA: My GMC SUV has anchors beneath the cushion where the "back" of vehicle seat and the vehicle seat connect. Check your truck for that option. It's sometimes awkward getting hand inside that area to hook up the booster, but i rarely need to remove it. Jope that makes sense and helps.
submitted byPeeg17 - 7 years agoA: Yes you can, but I would save your money and just buy the Graco Turbobooster, which is the exact same except that it has no LATCH hookups. The LATCH for this booster is to keep the seat from becoming a projectile if you get in a crash and it is not buckled down. In your case, you'd have to train your kid to seatbelt it in when he gets out since their is no LATCH holding the seat down.

Q: Does this seat recline? Or is it always in the straight up position?
A: Yes, when you attach the back to the base, you attach with both laying flat, then you rotate the back upward to the desired angle. I rotate mine slightly off 90 degree.

Q: Does the back remove from the bottom of the seat?
A: Yep, it snaps off at the bottom.

Q: Do the armrests move at all? I'm wondering if they can be folded up to make getting in and out easier.
A: No, they're very much stuck in place. Thrusters quite low though and my kids don't have a problem getting in or out. In fact they often hold on to them to steady themselves and get across the seats while they're getting in.

submitted byShimmer and shine - 7 years agoA: The armrests on the Graco Affix Youth Booster Seat with Latch System we purchased do not fold up at all. We've never had a problem though with my son having trouble getting in and out of the seat. We have one in both our Honda Civic and our Honda Odyssey.

Q: Do you have to use the Latch System to properly install the seat? Is it just used to secure seat when not in use? Basically, is using the Latch System optional?
A: Yes the LATCH is optional and is to secure the seat when not in use.

The latch system on this car seat is optional since it is only used when to hold the car seat in place when the child is not on the car seat. If you do not use the latch system we recommend that the car seat be removed when the child is not in the car seat or use the vehicle seat belt.

Q: I see the photos are sitting on side seats. Does this fit in the middle for more safety?
A: Yes this fits fine in the middle. I guess some parents put this on the side for convenience or perhaps they get a better fit.

If you vehicle as a shoulder belt in the middle then the car seat can be used in the middle seat. If the vehicle only has a lap belt in the middle of the seat then that car seat cannot be used in the middle.

Q: What is the measurement across the headrest area? I'm trying to fit 3 across in my new Pacifica minivan with my 2 Dionos.
A: Headrest is about 16" across, but the backrest is about 16.5". OMG Three? Good luck. Grandma
