Description
Safely ride rear-facing longer! The Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 Car Seat offers 3 modes of use to grow with your child from rear-facing harness (4-50 lb) to forward-facing harness (26.5-65 lb) to highback booster (40-100 lb)**. It features a 4-position extension panel that provides up to 5” of extra rear-facing legroom, allowing your child to safely ride rear-facing longer. Children are safer riding rear-facing and should ride rear-facing as long as possible, until they reach the maximum rear-facing height or weight rating for their car seat. With Extend2Fit, the adjustable extension panel and 50 lb rear-facing weight limit allow the seat to grow with your child in rear-facing mode, providing extended rear-facing use. The seat features the No-Rethread Simply Safe Adjust Harness System, which allows you to adjust the height of the headrest and harness in one motion, and InRight LATCH for a one-second LATCH attachment. Harnessing is made easier with fuss-free harness storage pockets that conveniently hold the harness out of the way while you get baby in and out of the car seat. This car seat is Graco ProtectPlus Engineered to help protect in frontal, side, rear, and rollover crashes.

A: No. This car seat installs in the car directly on the seat. Infant seats typically clip in and out of strollers and seat bases such as the Graco Snugride.

A: This model does not have the snuglock. You have to pull the seatbelt out to lock it and retract the slack to tighten.

Q: Is this seat ideal for the newborn stage? Asking because I do not see that it reclines in the rear facing position and I would think that newborns should be positioned to lie down not on their spine

Q: does any padding in the seat need to be removed based on weight? For example with infant seats the neck lining has to be removed once they hit a certain weight is that the same with this seat seeing it can hold babies 4-40+ lbs rear facing? Thank you!

We’ve been using this car seat for about a year now. I really like it and our granddaughter seems quite comfortable in it. The only problem we see with it is that the cupholders are square and round cups don’t fit in them very well. I can’t understand why they would’ve made square cupholders when they don’t make square cups. If you need to take it apart to wash the cover, it is not easy to take apart and reassemble.

Overall this car seat is great with the only exception that does not recline enough in rear facing position . Whenever my baby falls sleep I need to use something to hold his head since the most reclined position he is still upright

We ar both tall and this was not possible with our previous rear facing seat. It’s comfortable and clean looking for our daughter. It’s incredibly easy to install. The extended fit allows you to move the seat further from the car’s seat so there is plenty of legroom. We bought the light tan color so when getting into the car seat he doesn’t sit on black hit fabric. Nice thought!

The headrest seems to stick out and can feel hard against my child’s neck, which makes long rides less pleasant. It’s a solid car seat overall, but the neck support could definitely be improved.
