Q: has anyone had a problem with mold growing on the silicon part of the dispenser? if so, how to you clean it off?

submitted byA - 5 months agoA: It's not mold, it's soap scum. It forms on all soap bottles that sit in water. Wipe it off with a towel, paper towel, or other cleaning cloth. Make sure when you clean the bottle that it is dry.

Q: is is easy to press down on the pump or is it stiff? has anyone tried it 1-handed (holding sponge while using thumb to press for soap)? thanks.

A: Great Question! The Grove Co. Dish Soap Dispenser was designed with ease of use in mind! You should be able to use your thumb to pump the dispenser while using a standard size sponge.

I really love the look and simplicity of these pumps. However I bought two originally, one for dish soap, one for hand soap. After a year one the two pumps the arm/squirter fell off while using it. Of course it went straight down into my disposal which was a mess trying to get it out but none the less I did. There was no reattaching it so I purchased another. I just got the new one and the style has changed. It’s a different shape, square on bottom vs round, the pump top is flat vs rounded and the white band at the bottom is shorter and says “grove co” on it vs the little emblem. So now I guess I have to buy yet another so they match (ocd). That said the reviews on this new version aren’t great, so… not sure if I’ll keep it or not. It’s crazy the arm fell off because we don’t ever even touch that part, only the top of the pump. I really like that they don’t oxidize and rust like so many other stainless ones BUT I don’t want to replace them every year. Thus my 2 star rating

Looks fine, but leaks like crazy after a little over a year, as other reviews have mentioned. There’s a constant puddle of dish soap on the counter and running down in to the sink. I will not be repurchasing.

This is solid & heavy, but the shape of the nozzle shoots soap across the sink, over the countertop, and onto you. Every time. And I use it with Grove soap, too. I have to pick up and tilt to use without wearing it, which defeats the purpose of it being solid.
