A: Hi, this is Grace with nuLOOM! Thank you for your inquiry. Here are some helpful tips for cleaning and maintaining your shag rug: Prior to vacuuming, turn the rug face down and gently shake it out to dislodge any dirt that may have gotten trapped deep within the fibers. Using a suction only attachment, vacuum in between individual rows on your rug. Regular combing is also recommended; you can use a carpet rake or a regular wide-toothed comb. Spot cleaning: Spills must be blotted immediately using a clean white cloth. Do not rub. Allowing a spill to set will make the stain more difficult to clean later, and rubbing can force the stain deeper into your rug's surface. Once you have finished cleaning the area, use clean, dry towels to wick away all moisture. Apart from regular home upkeep, we strongly recommend professional cleaning. To keep your rugs looking fresh, they should be brought to a reputable cleaner at least once a year.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The color is a good, bright white - but the rug is very thin - loosely knotted so lots of space between threads - I have a rug pad underneath and still feels hard on the floor. For the price it's fine.

I had been searching for a good quality, reasonably priced, pure white area rug for weeks until I found this one. It is beautiful, soft, and PURE white. It came well-packaged and rolled (unlike some that come shrink wrapped). It didn’t take any time to lay flat and it did not have any chemical smell. The only reason I gave it four stars is that, when the fibers are pushed straight up, you can see the backing. Even so, for the price and overall quality, I would recommend/purchase it again. I would also recommend using a dual surface rug pad for cushion and stability.

The rug is very pretty, medium quality but for the price definitely a bargain. The issue is you cannot really walk on it. Even my black bottom rubber slippers make it look dirty. I tried to clean it but the strands of the shag are just not doing

I am so disappointed in this rug. I did so much research and product comparison that I just knew I was going to love it upon receiving. BUT. It’s horrible. It looks really cheap and feels cheaper. Not to mention it is so flat that I feel like I’m still walking on the hard wood… and before you ask, yes, I have a pad under it. I just don’t have the energy to return such a large rug. I’ve moved it and placed in the guesthouse.

We just got this rug in. It looks super nice and fluffy from far away but up close it’s a lot thinner than I was hoping for, even with the premium rug pad underneath. The white is definitely a pure white. You get what you pay for and for the price I can’t really complain. Next time though I would probably order a different, more plush rug

It’s not very thick in the sense that you can easily see down to the backing on the bottom. Photos don’t do justice but I am definitely returning.
