Tax, which is what I entere: I was trying to buy TurboTax, which is what I entered in the search. I didn't notice until after the purchase went through that it was H&R Block. Completely unusable for me and money down the drain.

The only issue I ever have is with RMDs. I'm not 73 so that doesn't apply (yet). I do have a non-spousal inherited IRA that I moved to my own IRA as allowed. Due to ages, I do not have to deplete the IRA within 10 years. However, for taxes, it gives me indigestion every year for basis and RMD. Maybe someday the IRS (or H&R Block) will come up with a way to make this easier.

Bought this last year ahead of tax season. Handles most items well but struggles with some K-1 forms. I enter the information on the form and the program won't accept it. Just doesn't like "0" for an entry even through it is on the K-1 and some codes that are clearly on the K-1 are flagged as invalid. Also section 897 dividends and section 897 capitol gains failed to import from a Merrill Lynch statement. Had to manually enter from the hard copy statement. .

The Federal tax program needs improvement on Schedule A Itemized Deductions for medical expenses. Break into more detail following publication 502. The Michigan State program is confusing on the Subtractions from Income for retirement income for people born before 1950.

great ease and use of product, but why charge when there are so many free tax software sites out there? you should be free for particular classes, like veterans and seniors. and state should be free because states are free filing from their direct sites!

Everything went along fine until accuracy review. My wife had passed and IRS requires a "care of" input, but the program does not ask the question so it required lots of effort to solve the problem.

I have been using H&R Block Deluxe tax-prep software for over 15 years and have generally been happy with it. The last few years, however, the forms included have been reduced and I'm finding it challenging to continue with this edition and might need to upgrade to Premium level. IMO, that is not fair... The product itself is good!

Worked as expected but K-1 handling remains limited. Implied I was being charged for e-filing federal in spite of five free commitment. If I am really charged I won't use Block again.

There are still bugs in the software and the layout could use a major makeover. I have learned to work around the quirks and limitations of the software. The NIckname is just another example of clunky software.
