My preschool grandson really enjoyed pretending to slice and serve this watermelon this morning to his father and me. I instructed him to also cut beneath each slice, not just in between. The pieces come away from the rind easier that way. He's been very interested in butter knives recently and we're teaching him how to use them safely. Toys like this help with that.
