About this item
Highlights
- There is plenty of valuable wreckage, "flotsam" to discover on the South Pacific beaches in this stacking and balancing game for 2-5 seafarers ages 6 years and up.
- Take a piece of flotsam and stack it on your shaky raft. If you stack successfully, you take an island card that will tell you which island to move your raft full of flotsam to. Be careful when moving from island to island! Sea Turtle Tilda grabs everything that falls overboard.
- Those that "island hop" with skill are rewarded with sea shells. Bonus cards (with extra seashells) are given for the highest piles of flotsam. Forward thinking sailors should keep this in mind while stacking!
- Players who skillfully stack their objects and prove that they have a steady hand during transport have the best chance of collecting the most seashells and winning the game.
- Contents include: 24 colorful wooden flotsam pieces, 6 3D mountains, 24 island cards, 1 turtle card, 23 bonus cards, 1 raft and game instructions. Plays in 15-20 minutes. Made in Germany.
Description
Sun, sea, and flotsam! It’s time to collect all the flotsam and jetsam that has washed up. Players carefully stack it on the raft piece by piece, and then float the raft from island to island. They’ll need a steady hand, otherwise the stacked treasures will fall overboard! Players collect sea shells when they succeed in moving the raft without losing any flotsam. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game was a bit difficult for my kids. They are 8 year old twins. The parents had to play it! It was interesting. It was a stacking game. You see how many pieces you can get to stack, before your stack falls down. It is a safe game. There aren't many really small pieces. The price point is right!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Interesting board game, but kind of hard to play. You must set up these “islands” and then set up the raft on one island and then stack it and move it to the next island on the card. The rules were kind of confusing and hard to understand and I think we spent more time trying to figure out the rules than playing the game. The pieces are quality pieces though, made of wood and seem durable. Overall, an okay game, but I don’t think it will be in our regular rotation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kiddos are finally old enough to begin partaking in board games and this has become a household favorite. They love the silliness involved with trying to stack as much as they can without letting it fall over. It definitely requires a smidge of thinking and strategy which I of course love as a mom! Overall great purchase.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a gift for my son’s birthday party, very well packaged and all the pieces were there. We had a wide variety of aged kids at this party and they all enjoyed this game. It is very durable and none of the pieces were a safety issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Skill is required in this game of island hopping. Flotsam Float contains 24 colorful stacking stones. This flotsam and jetsam must be collected and stacked ... This is a simple but entertaining concept: players take turns at moving the raft island to island, stacking a new object on top each time. You score no point ...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fun game for both kids and adults to play together, my 5 year old really enjoyed the challenge of stacking and balancing the pieces, it was a bit tricky for him at first but then he started to get the hang of it and learn how to get them to stay. Great game for fine motor skills, fun for the whole family!
Highly recommended for families with young children.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received for free the Flotsam Float board game from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. Flotsam Float is a delightful board game perfect for kids aged 6 to 9! With a quick playtime of around 20 minutes, it’s ideal for family game nights or playdates. The premise is simple and engaging: players stack colorful flotsam on their rafts and navigate from island to island while avoiding spills. My kids loved the challenge of balancing the pieces, and it sparked plenty of laughter when things toppled over. The game encourages strategic thinking and fine motor skills, making it educational without feeling like a chore. Collecting seashells adds a fun layer of competition, keeping everyone invested until the end. The artwork is vibrant, and the components are sturdy, which is a plus for younger players. Overall, Flotsam Float is a charming and entertaining game that keeps kids engaged, making it a great addition to any game collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect game to build fine motor skills. The game says ages 6 and up however my daughter is 4 and enjoyed the building part. There are a lot of pieces to this game so no wonder the age is a little higher for play but my daughter still loved it. The pieces to the game are cards, cardboard and wooden pieces which are all high quality. Overall this was a good dame to stay occupied for a little while.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This game is one that will bring laughs and need steady hands. I got this game to play with my grandkids ages 4 and 6 and they love it. The object of the game is to collect washed up items and stack those items carefully onto your raft. Then, move the raft from place to place without the pieces falling. The player with the most seashells at the end of the game wins. The game is easy to set up and play. We even play it outside on the picnic table on warm days to get the kids outside for a bit. I definitely recommend this game because I enjoy playing it myself.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Flotsam Float was a fun game for Family Game Night. Our family loves Family Game Nights but always struggle with choosing a game. Most of the time the games are either too hard for my 6 year old or boring for my 9 year old. When we found Flotsam Float all three children were excited for something new and different. Set up was simple. The game comes with cardboard pieces that need to be separated from the packaging. There are mountains that need to be assembled and took us no time at all to set up. The mountains need to be arranged around the table and place any four island cards around each mountain. The kids loved picking the flotsam pieces to place on each card. Each piece has a fun shape and color. There is a special raft that also needs to be placed on top of one of the mountains. The kids loved picking their flotsam piece and trying to stack it. The kids were excited every time someone received an island card. Balancing the raft was very difficult. I will say that every one of my kids dropped it before the next mountain. The kids enjoyed getting bonus cards and watching to see what color octopus others had. Overall, I’d say this was a fun, exciting game with a fun concept. It was a nice changed up from the games we’ve been playing. It kept the kids entertained for a while and created tons of laughs!
