Q: Any suggestions on how to seal it properly I’ve been trying to find a video. But found nothing. And no matter how I try, it leaks from the sides quite badly.

Q: These are so cute but does anyone have e suggestions on how to fill them? They don’t seem to snap closed, so there isn’t a secure seal to keep the water from flowing out of the snake mold

A: Hi Llg1005 - Thank you for the inquiry. The two halves of the mold should seal against one another and limit or prevent water leaking out of the mold. There isn’t a “snap / click” sound or feedback, but when the top of the mold is fully seated into the bottom of the mold, leakage should be minimal. Hope this helps! - Kris

Doesn’t hold more than one half of the design filled before overflowing and deforming completely. You have to plug up those useless funnel holes and fill each half separately and then wet each frozen half and freeze them together. Awful design, not even worth a dollar.

Maybe I need to stop buying silicone ice trays from target. I had a similar problem with their sphere trays. I thought because these were filled through holes at the top that it would go better. However, it’s still hard to fill these enough to get the shape without pushing the two halves apart as the water spills out of the molds. Might need to be hard plastic.

Usually these molds have a magnet or button system to lock the bottom and top parts together. This one does not. Waste of 10$. I'm going to find some magnets or something and try to make it work but I'm pretty disappointed.

Yes, this works!! We figured out that if you fill the tray up half way, freeze, fill it up again and then refreeze, the snakes will come out just right. Sure, it takes a little bit of work to get them out of the tray but it is worth it. They are super cute! You could even put some dye in the water too.

Same issue as the other reviews. You fill with water and the top half floats and water leaks out. Tried multiple different methods and did the same thign every time.

The top and bottom do not stay together once you start putting the water in. This causes an overflow and you end up with one complete slab of ice instead of 4 pieces.

These DO work, but when I say you have to overfill it, I mean fill it so full you have water all over the top of it and all over your kitchen counter. Like others say, using the funnel doesn’t work. The silicon pops apart and you’ll be super frustrated. Instead, I just filled it to the brim, pushed the top down and got water literally everywhere. Was it messy? Yes. Did I end up with super cool snake ice cubes? Also yes. Be careful when popping them out - the head broke off on two of mine. You can also take a knife and chop off the little tab on the side, too. Don’t think too hard about it. Fill it up super full, put it flat in your freezer and enjoy!

Great idea, but design not so much. I had to place something by in middle to keep mold in place and water does spill out the sides. The mold works, but just take a little extra effort unfortunately.

Just like others have said when you fill the tray the top half lifts up and separates even if you spend 20 minutes, making sure that the grooves are lined up perfectly.

As cute as it is it simply doesn't work. The top lid lifts while filling it with ice. Needs a latch or something to hold in place. I really wanted this to work!

such a cute and creative design so i’m giving it two stars instead of one, but it just does not work. water pours out the edges of the seams when you try to fill it. you could potentially just freeze each side separately, but otherwise it does not work.

It does work you just have to fill it the correct way. It should’ve included instructions, but because we have something similar already, we knew what to do. You have to overfill it even over the top and make sure it’s nice and flat in your freezer. You can also do it in two sessions fill it a little bit let that part semi freeze and then add more water so stack on top. It’s super cute and gives Reputation vibes when you’re having a cocktail.

Incredibly poor design. Just doesn't work, plain and simple. Nice look in theory, but pointless – no latch, nothing to secure the halves together. It comes with a funnel, but you'll quickly learn it's pointless as the "lid" will lift and separate and deform the mold as you pour. Not worth it.
