Q: Does the measuring cup have indicators for # of eggs as well as hardness desired? ie, so that you know how much water for 5 eggs, medium, etc. as it is written on the cup for all different #s of eggs and the 3 different hardnesses.

What a disappointment! The on/off button doesn’t work: if it’s plugged in, it’s automatically on and has to be unplugged to turn it off, and it arrived with a crack in the egg holder. Ugh!

One star is for the DELIVERY! I’d give zero if I could. These idiots delivered with NO BOX! It was a Christmas gift and they sent it in its original box even though I marked it was a gift and put Merry Christmas. That’s delivery in Louisiana for you. Looks like it came directly from one of the local stores too.

We have used this for hard boiled eggs, soft boiled eggs and poached. The directions for poached say to add water twice ands that is incorrect. They will end up hard as a rock. Just use one measure for the desired doneness and it is perfect. It really does a great job and takes up a minimum of counter space. This little cooker works great. It was missing the piercing needle. Cleaning is easy with the exception of where the water sits. We used filtered water and it still has stains.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little skeptical of this cooked since it doesn't have a timer, just an on/off button. But, following the instructions, you measure the amount of water, with the provided cup, based on how many eggs you are cooking and to what level of doneness (hard, medium, soft). Pour the water in, put the eggs in the egg holder, cover and hit the on button. Easy peasy. Once the cooker beeps that it is done (when the water is gone), turn it off, lift eggs out and place in cold water. Done and done! My cooker had some discoloration on the hot plate when it was done, buy the cleaning instructions had a tip about pour vinegar over is and letting it sit for several minutes before wiping clean and it was perfectly clean again! A great cooker providing an easy alternative to a big pot of boiling water! I also love that I can make little omelettes and poached eggs in it too!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hamilton Beach 3-1 egg cooker has made my life a little easier. The first thing I tried out was the medium and soft boiled eggs. I have always had a hard time getting them just right on the stove. After waiting til all the water was dissolved, the eggs came out perfect! My children love to use this too when they want something fast. The instructions are so simple, I don’t have to worry about them in the kitchen. The omelet function is perfectly portioned which I absolutely love. The creations are endless and easy. One thing to mention, as I almost made this mistake myself.... whatever you cook make sure the hard boiled egg tray always stays in there and the poach/omelet tray sit on the top of the boiled egg tray. After that cooking is a breeze.

But, For some odd, strange, unworldly reason I can't boil eggs whole to save my life. I dont over or under cook them my problem is them breaking during the cooking process. Every time I want deviled eggs I get overwhelmed with anxiety because I know one or more of them won't make it till the end. NOT anymore!!! Times have changed for the better thanks to this egg cooker!!! All I have to do is put the water in the bottom and load the eggs no more being tossed around during the boiling process if I put in 6, I get 6 fully cooked unbroken eggs back! Its a must buy for people like me!!!

I love that it's extremely easy to use, plug it in, add water or your ingredients, depending on which kind of egg you are making, and turn it on. Each time I've used it to make omelettes, hard boiled, or poached eggs they've turned out great. I've enjoyed having an easier way to make deviled eggs, it's so much easier to peel them after cooking them in this 3 in 1 cooker.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product, mid-March, free in exchange for an honest review. Due to the COVID 19 outbreak using this egg cooker was not a priority. However, once I used it I was very glad I did. It did take two tries to adjust the water for the Costco eggs (extra large) that I used. Why, you ask? For a few reasons listed here. First, to me, the design and color combination are very eclectic and remind of the appliances my parents used when I was a child. Second, this product is very easy to use and follow the clear and concise provided instructions. The omelette was not only fluffy but tasty, see picture. Due to my special eating requirements, I didn't add any salt. Third, cleaning and maintenance of this product is smooth and worry free. Finally, all the pieces fit inside the dome. With no parts left outside there's nothing that may get lost. Thank you Hamilton Beach for the design, ease of use and efficiency of this product. Keep up the great work!

I can never get the perfect over easy egg for my toast and my hardboiled eggs are always green and tough. The design of this egg cooker is super simple but it delivers every time. A soft poached egg on toast is my new go-to breakfast and it takes no effort! I wouldn’t call it an essential for your cabinets but it makes a great, convenient addition to your household appliances. It only cooks 7 hardboiled eggs at a time so it’s not the most efficient if you like to do a dozen+ at a time. I didn’t mind doing a few batches because of how soft and delicious the yolks were! The only think I would add is a big, bold message to the directions reminding that you’re cooking in plastic containers on a very hot metal. When the water evaporates, the cooking is done and the machine beeps. You have to take it out quickly or the metal will start to melt the base of the plastic! Otherwise, this is a great solid egg cooker. And, huge bonus points That everything fits back into the egg cooker for great compact storage. It was worth it for the great taste and time it saves me.

The Hamilton Beach Egg Cooker has solved ALL of those problems and problems I didn’t know I had. I add my eggs and use the cup to measure the correct amount of water and that’s it. Not only can I make the perfect boiled egg but it poaches them too! How in the world did I ever manage before?
