I have wanted a bread maker for quite a while. I am so happy with the quality of the machine and can't wait to make several kinds of dough and breads!

Love the product. A little hard to follow directions but I got it. Would also love more recipes.

The first loaf of bread was Cuban bread made using the artisan dough setting. It was phenomenal! I am impressed with the number of settings on this bread maker. I just wish there were more recipes in the book.

Bought as a substitute to my older breadmaker (from a competing brand) which lasted shy of 4 years. This unit works very well so far. Wish the power cord was longer. If your power outlet or multiplug is a little bit far away from the unit, you may confront problems connecting it.

Good and not expensive breadmaker for everyday usage.

Every recipe when followed correctly from included booklet, makes dough loaves rise too much. It states its a 2lb machine but it doesnt work with its own 2lb recipes. Might be a false claim to say its 2lb confidently. That being said its been a great machine for me!

It makes great bread but worries me sometimes because sometimes when its mixing the ingredients, it will loudly buzz. I'm not sure whats going on there. Other than that, it does great

I am learning how to make bread and I know there’s a little learning curve. However I will keep trying.

I have just started my first loaf of basic bread. The manual that comes with the bread maker is awful. It took me an entire evening to figure it out. I still don’t know what I’m supposed to do with the paddle hook. Hopefully, when this loaf finishes, it will be good and worth the effort.

I've made several different kinds of bread in this and they've all turned out great. Making by hand has always been hit or miss for me.

Even on dark setting the crust is too pale in color. Can it be placed in the oven after coming out of the bread maker to make it more golden? Tips/advice welcome!

i studied the instruction manual for an hour and still couldn't figgure out how to operate it. A complete waste of money . would never buy again. plan to take the machine back to the store.. \\\

I ahve my fresh breads, and small loaves for just one person. It is so ni e to not have bread wasted when only one person eats a certain kind of bread and the other people (kids) won't touch wheat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first bread maker. I tried french bread, white bread, quick bread, sweet bread and the jam function. I like that you can choose your loaf size. I did have a problem with getting the bread out because the kneading paddle cooked in the bread. I found if you turn the mechanism from the bottom of the pan you can get the paddle to come off. It does come with a paddle removing tool and after the last knead you can gently move the dough aside and lift the paddle out. It was very easy to clean, the instructions are clear on each type of bread, you could just set it and go about your housework. It would have been nice to have a screen that told you what stage it was at in the process, and the jam setting took way longer than it actually takes to make jam on the stove. I will definitely use it again to make bread.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great dough and bread maker. So far, I have used it to make a one pound loaf of whole wheat bread right in the machine. I have also used it to make a dough that I then made a batch of dinner rolls from. I am going to make some pizza dough once the rain clears. I want to make a pizza on the grill outside. The owner's manual has great information and directions on how to operate. There are also some great recipes. I can't wait to try them all. The machine itself takes up very little counter space and operates very quietly. The digital push button controls are easy to use and the display is easy to read. This machine will save me lots of work and time. I have been using a stand mixer with a dough hook and it does the job, but then I have to take the dough out and knead it and let it rise, punch it down and so on. This machine lets me put the ingredients inside, select the right setting and walk away. It does all the rest. This will be a real blessing and time saver for me. So far, I love it. Looking forward to using all it can do.

With only a few pieces to put together, and only a few steps from start to finish, this is a dream! I was intimidated at first because when I think bread-making I think a lot of ingredients, many steps to start and finish, but after following the basic bread recipe I was amazed! The outer part of the bread machine is so sleek and the stainless steel makes it super easy to clean. Nothing left a stain or marks where I could not clean. Love how the center basket locks and unlocks and comes out for cleaning. It’s amazing how the bread maker makes more than bread (jams, cakes, etc.) After making 1 loaf of bread I’m hooked! I literally just threw the ingredients in as listed, pressed a button and let the machine do its job. I’m impressed! Only thing I wish is that the machine had something to wrap the cord around or something retractable. Also, I didn’t see any instructions to put the knead piece in so I started the machine without it and had to go back and dig through the dough to put it in. Other than that no issues at all! The bread was so delicious and evenly baked. Everyone ate it all the same day. I plan to make more breads, including seeds, oats and experiment with other recipes. Definitely a must-buy.

With the Hamilton Beach Artisan Dough & Bread Maker, I feel like a pro. The unit was super easy to use, all of the controls right on top. With just the push of a few buttons, you're making bread. Not just white bread either, there are options for french bread, gluten free bread, whole grain you can even make pizza dough and jam. There are three different bread sizes as well as three different crust settings. Just measure, add, and go. The measuring cup and spoon are even included. Had I known how easy it was, I would have started making bread sooner.

We made a French loaf with it and the kids enjoyed helping me out all the ingredients into it and watching it mix the bread and make it at the same time. It was a nice experience and we enjoyed having hot fresh bread with our dinner! We will be trying to make dessert breads in it soon!
