It did not hold his attention for long, but my 1.5 year old and 3 year old nephews really enjoyed this toy. I would say that this is geared towards a younger crowd as my younger nephew was the most enthralled. As a parent, the rain sounds are a nice break from the toys with all the songs, tunes, etc. Visually, the product looks a little clunky but that being said, it is well made so there is a trade off.
