Description
The Hydro Pods Pirates Starter Pack is a collectible toy and a kids game all in one, complete with everything needed to launch into hydro-powered play. First, fill the pod with water, plug in the target, and watch as a mystery toy character is revealed. This kids toy set features Max the Ax, Oswald Otterman, Penny Penguin, Tough Puffer, Gilbert the Gull, Izzie Inkerton, Tony Tortuga, or Walter Whale -- which character will you unveil? Next, place the pod in the slot in the Tide Trapper water tray, load a disc into the included launcher, and aim at the target. Nice shot! As the target flies off, the water drains out of the bottom of the pod and the character sinks in defeat. Tide Trappers keep water contained, so kids can keep battling with this water toy without making a mess. Look for other Hydro Pods sets including battle-ready Aqua Armor and mystery starter packs with fun characters to trade with friends or give as gifts for kids ages 6 and up. (Sold separately. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested this cute little toy with my daughter and she loved it for about 5 seconds. It could the toys fault or my daughter’s attention span. She’s 10, she played with it how it was designed for the first two seconds and now it’s part of her Barbie’s world.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This little toy was okay, it was easy to use but didn’t keep the kids interest. It comes with small parts that are not suitable for little kids. The pod that the pirate figure floats in seems pretty durable and didn’t leak water everywhere. I personally don’t recommend this toy only because there’s not much to do with it and my kids lost interest very quickly but I am grateful for the opportunity to allow my kids to try this toy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is such a fun and simple little game! I’ve been just as competitive as the kids to make our little pirate squid fall down! The game is easy to play. You dunk the capsule in water and then add the yellow topper to keep water from leaking out the bottom. Then place in the tray and aim the shooter with a green ring in it to knock off the top! You knock it off and the squid sinks to the bottom and you win! The rings can shoot out soft or hard depending on the pressure you place so be careful where you aim! We stand back a ways to shoot, not sure if there is a specific minimum distance but it works! I like this game as a fun activity to do with the kids!

It’s very difficult to play with. He shoots it and the force is not strong enough to splash the water so it cannot spill out. He gets bored quickly and does not want to continue playing with it. This toy does not appeal to my son.

The idea of the toy is to fill the ball with water and hang it on the base then use the shooting part to shot the ball and if you hit the ball the water will fall down and you win! My kids spent all weekend playing with it! Definitely recommend it!

It was almost impossible to knock the ring off the top, and then when you do, the water comes out, and then you're done. You have to refill and start all over. It's kinda messy and kinda pointless. Honestly, I wouldn't buy this. It's seems like a waste of money. The kids were amused for two minutes then started shooting the rings at the cats & now they're lost.

But the game idea is honestly boring. Maybe playing against someone would be more fun since this is a starter pack and only came with one. It might be better had they gave a set of two in the starter pack.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3 and 5 year old sons had a blast using the included launcher to fire rings and try to hit the pirate pod to sink the toy. Watching the pod sink when struck by the rings was endlessly entertaining for them, and they spent hours perfecting their aim. It is difficult to hit so it takes time to get it down.

I bought two for my son and daughter and they both love it! I was worried about the water mess but it comes with a tiny tray for them to sit in to catch the water They really want the marvel ones with the suits! Definitely recommend!

Use the little disc to knock the target off first one to hit the target and drain the water wins. Good for ages 6 and up.

Even though she is a little younger, she is very smart and managed to understand very well how the game works. She spent hours trying to hit the target, and gave us a good laugh and a lot of fun. The toy is sturdy, easy to assemble and works well. She loved it and could definitely recommend this toy to both boys and girls.
