Between the color dye nearly staining my counter tops and the misleading number of items in the carton of eggs I was seriously underwhelmed. I would not purchase this item again unless maybe it was seriously discounted. I should have read that all of the positive reviews were part of a promotion before trusting them.

My child is a huge collector for hatching toys. They loved that they were all different character to add to the collection. The little egg case was super cute. With the little bath for the eggs to hatch. Overall a fun messy project and toy for a child to play with.

Now my four-year-old has entered the chat and is loving her Hatchimals! Shes fascinated with these 5 adorable creatures and their cute accessories. We were entertained watching them hatch and come to life, breaking through the neon eggs, changing the waters colour! Love that it comes with a sparkly egg carton to store them away and even add more to collection. It was an exciting experience watching the process and witnessing my little ones amazed expressions!

It was so much fun adding the water and watching the eggs hatch and a little friend slowly emerge. We played with this for about a sold 45 minutes and she has played with it independently everyday since. The extra accessories and wings are a fun way to nurture these little cuties!

I let kiddos do this since Im clearly not the target demographic This set comes with 5 eggs to hatch in the plastic egg carton. You remove the wings from the egg, add water to the hatching zone and place the egg in it. The surprise creature emerges very quickly and comes with some cute accessories too. In total this set comes with 5 surprise creatures and their accessories. The girls loved playing with these and thought the concept was cute. My (non-sponsored) adult thoughts: Marketed as appropriate for all genders and all occasions. Good for kids with short attention span or as an immediate reward since the hatching process is very quick. There is quite a bit of packaging/ garbage. There are many different creatures to collect and some are Rare to try to get kids to try to collect them all. Small educational value (if you teach your kids about how some animals are hatched) from the hatching process but none in the toy creatures themselves. Its cute, its fun but definitely gimmicky.

She loves this type of surprise toy so I knew she would like it,she loves anything with little accessories . We love the part when the "magic" way the pop out of the eggs .it was soo fun to open and watch the eggs hatch . The only thing I'm worried about is the little tiny accessories ,they are adorable but easy to lost it .I almost vacuum the 2 accessories . So make sure when you buy these awesome @spinmastertoys your aware and have a small container/storage for these cute accessories. Overall Phoenix had so much fun . Hatchimals toys for kids are perfect for those who enjoy collectibles, action figures, small toys, dolls, and doll house play. Great birthday gifts, Christmas gifts, stocking stuffers or gifts for any occasion for ages 3 and up.

There were so many opportunities for them to be hands on and experience the cute hatching of the tiny eggs! We loved that there were five surprises! It was just the right amount. Not too many and not too little. My son gave the whole experience a 9/10 and definitely recommends hatchimals alive for your Christmas list this year!

It was fun watching the little creatures come out of their eggs. While I didn't love the colour mess, my son thought it was fun, so I was ok with it. What I didn't love quite as much was the amount of waste these toys had. Once the creature had hatched, the egg portion was essentially garbage which I hadn't expected. I had hoped it would all just sort of dissolve. Then, adding in the playability of the toys which honestly, wasn't as great as they could have been, I found that there was just a lot of waste and as someone who tries to be environmentally friendly, these just weren't a hit on my book. My child quickly lost interest in the toys after the hatching. I've passed them along to someone else's child who I am hoping will enjoy them. Perhaps it just wasn't our thing!? Spinmaster makes a lot of other great toys for my kids.

The brightly coloured packaging and layers of surprises added to the fun and anticipation! We grabbed the first egg and excitedly poured the water into the center of the carton. In less than a minute, out hatched the first friend. The dye seeped out from the bottom of the egg and colored the water a lovely vibrant purple! Taking around 30 minutes to hatch all the characters, this is a fun and colourful activity that both girls or boys would enjoy!

It took about ten minutes to hatch all 5 eggs, but he played with the cute animals for a quite a bit afterwards. The only downside is that it is a bit messy. The eggs have dye in them, so tidying up took a bit longer than I would have liked.

The whole experience of hatching these neon eggs was magic. Watching the water change colour and reveal the cute little characters was so exciting for my daughter. The carton is convenient with its built-in hatch zone, and its perfect for imaginative play. Its a bit messy with the water, but we followed the advice to set it up in an easy-to-clean area (we used towels on the floor) and it worked great. Once the hatching was done, we dried the carton, to use as storage. A great gift idea for the upcoming holiday season or birthdays!
