A: Yes our Head & Shoulders Shea Butter Shampoo is safe to use on children. However if you want to use on your child because you think they have dandruff, you should speak to your doctor first. This is because dandruff does not occur before puberty so it could be another scalp condition.

I bought this for my husband to try and help his dandruff and it works wonders. Not only does it work, but it smells nice as well (not overpowering!). Plus as an added bonus it gave his hair some volume lol

The shampoo has a pleasant scent described as coconut and warm spices on the website. However, the scent was the only positive aspect I found. It didn't provide a thorough cleansing, leaving a heavy residue after rinsing, which made my hair feel unclean. Despite drying without looking bad, my hair felt weighed down and lacked its usual shine compared to other shampoos. I thought maybe it was just not for my hair type. However, my daughter, who has very thick hair, experienced the same heaviness and dullness. Midway through the bottle, I discontinued use as it didn't offer any benefits and seemed to worsen my scalp issues. Perhaps it might suit someone with porous hair better than my own hair type. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

For a better experience we recommend a shampoo that is not as rich as the one you are currently using. While everyone has this microbe, about half of us have a sensitivity to it, leading to irritation, flaking, and redness. To effectively control these symptoms, it's crucial to use Head & Shoulders a minimum of 2 days a week for at least 6 weeks. For optimal results, we recommend using it every time you shampoo. If you have a dry, itchy, flaking scalp that does not improve after using anti-dandruff shampoo for 6 weeks you should speak to your doctor. Finally a dandruff shampoo that does not dry out my hair! Most dandruff shampoos are effective on the scalp yes, but tend to be soooo drying on the hair. This one makes my hair soft and moisturizer without feeling greasy. A win!

My girls love the “smooth and silky” head and shoulders so we decided to try the “shea butter” one for added moisturizing. They both complained that the shampoo and conditioner made their hair feel stick and hard to rinse out. We went back to the smooth and silky ones.

It's difficult for me to use cleansers on my sensitive scalp. But I found the Head & Shoulder products to be the best option and they have made my life so much easier. I don't get an itchy scalp frequently and it is so soothing. The scent is great and leaves my hair feeling clean and soft. Definitely recommend it for really itchy and dry scalps.

Now when I shop for my go to product I've noticed some new scents. This shopping trip I picked up Shea butter formula. It did not disappoint! It left my hair softer and of course my scalp was given relief but the smell was amazing. My hair smelled like I had spent a lot of money on hair products. I will be exploring with the other scents offered but right now Shea Butter is my favorite.
