A: Molly, thank you for your interest in scünci! These bobby pins are 2 inches long. If you are looking for bobby pins that are a bit longer, I suggest the scünci Extra Long Metal Bobby Pins - Black - Long Hair - 48pcs, which are 2.75 inches long. These are also sold at Target. Happy new year!

A: Yes, they feel like a silicone coating, similar to the Scunci No Slip Springless Cushion Chunky Jaw Clips, the photos don't do justice but it's a matte black silicone not just black metal (bobby pins) or black plastic (on the clips). These are a little shorter I think then regular Bobby pins. But they hold great I have extremely thin hair and these are the only ones I will buy that will work. A little more expensive than usual pins but worth the money if u have thin hair.

I love these things, and have used them everyday for years now. I have fine, thin hair and they stay in place! The matte surface ensures they don’t budge, and they don’t stick up so long as the flat edge faces up/out (lifted and rubbed edge faces down/in) and you aren’t using too much hair.

I didn't look closely enough at the picture - the end is really has a large "V" It sticks up and in not attractive if it shows in your hair. Where or where are the old fashioned bobby pins like my mother had!!!!

I purchased three packs of these thinking they were going to work great considering they're non-slip. I was wrong. Sure they don't shift AS much as regular ones but after the first use they go out of whack. If you take it off and try to readjust it, as you're sliding it up your hair one side the the pin bends sideways like they cross and it no longer goes up. I literally have to hold the two open and let go of the top part once its in place to avoid crossing Usually I reuse my bobbypins as long as I don't loose them but I cant reuse these.

I still had issues of the pins "backing out." I bought these because I have very fine hair that nothing will grab onto, not even these. They are also too long (since fine hair is also "thin"), so it was very tricky to use these in a way that held my hair without the ends poking out somewhere. These need to come in a smaller version with shallower waves and a shorter length. THEN they might actually work

These little gems are great! They really do hold your hair in place. Am bringing back the "bump" or "poof" and they held really well. Only downfall is they stick out like a sore thumb with my BLONDE hair. Highly recommend!

These are the best Bobby pins I have ever used. They truly are NO SLIP!!! Even after I fall asleep, my other hair (not gripped) may fall, but this will stay in place. It is a very strong hold. I have very thick hair and these are the only ones that work for me. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes
