A: Well I checked this website for a replacement lid… yeah they sell it BUT after shipping costs, buying a replacement lid will cost approx. $16. You can buy a whole new garbage can with a new lid for $21…. Just felt like sharing ;-)

A: b - The lid itself locks to prevent kids and animals from getting into it. The lid is secured to the base with a small latch at the front of it. If the wastebasket is knocked over there is the possibility of the lid coming off. Thank you!

Works like a dream. 13 gallon bags fit perfectly. It's sturdy but lightweight and fits between wall and our fridge where we wanted. It's modern and functional. Will buy again as needed.

Trash can wobbles. Its brand new. Its big and seems nice otherwise. Though its lightweight and cheap. You get what you pay for here. Not sure how long it will last. Dissapointed.

Yes the lid locks in the front of the can BUT the entire lid can easily be lifted up from the side or back. If you have a dog that can reach it that feature is completely useless! It wobbles, it always did. The gray plastic lock also broke rendering the whole trash can useless. Spend a little extra so you don’t have to replace it in 3 months.

The trash can was available and at the store but there were no lids which defeats the purpose. I like the can. I had one and wanted to replace it but couldn't because the store didn't have the complete item in stock although they advertised that they did.

I recommend this trash can. It is good quality, and has a snap to keep the lid closed. It is also the best price for this sized trash can I could find from various stores. Minus one star because the whole lid itself does not "clip" on the the base of the trash can tightly. (The touch top part to keep the trash can closed works perfectly)

This is, by far, is one of my favorite purchases .... excellent value! Hefty has proven that simplicity is best. (Trash cans do not have to be expensive when there is a wonderful brand such as Hefty)! The receptacle is made very well and, in my experience, the lid absolutely does keep any odors that might happen inside the can from seeping out into the environment outside the can. However, I did end up and place a door stop (see pic) in the can in order to add weight to the bottom so that the can does not "jump up" and shift around when the mechanism used to open is pushed. A door stop or a brick works flawlessly! I use the Hefty 13 gallon tall kitchen drawstring bags ("Club Pack" of 120 bags). The bags fit very well. My family and I are well pleased!

I love this odor blocking trash can. The lid fits tightly and it does a really good job of blocking odors. The only odor I've ever had trouble keeping under control with this can is garlic. Everything else it handles like a champ. After four years of steady kitchen use, the lid clamp has finally broken. I would dearly love to merely replace the lid, but I can't seem to find the replacement item by itself. Good thing the whole can is affordable.

I like the waste can that I purchased, but I don't like the condition of it. It was sold to me with discoloration on the container. I wish I had checked it at curbside. I would have refused it. Pls make your associates aware of quality and first impression when they are choosing items for curbside. This waste can should have a discount on it because it does not meet standards.

I picked this garbage can because it was on sale and black. However it is a dark gray, it came damaged and is a lot smaller than our old garbage can which was the same 13 gallon size. I am very disappointed.
