Looks great, decent quality, dulled very quickly.

I love the price and quality of these knives. Good variety of sizes and types, suitable for every need. The scissors aren’t as great as ones I’ve had in the past but all the knives are fantastic. Easy to hold and well-made.

Huge upgrade from our last set. We’ve had it a few weeks now and we use them regularly. They work pretty slick. They’re not, like, the BEST KNIVES I’ve ever felt in my hand, but I think it’s a really nice set worth the money. 3 Star for easy to clean because it’s recommended they be hand-washed. That’s a pain in my opinion.

When looking to buy knives, I read reviews upon reviews and I really wanted this super fancy german set. However I was not able to afford such knife set so I went back to the drawing board. Upon reading more reviews I found that this brand was the best value brand. Since I wanted to spend enough to have a decent set that shouldn't dull quickly I went with this brand. To pick this particular set, I chose a medium priced set with good reviews and and a handle I felt would be comfortable. Upon getting these, I cannot say I am disappointed. They are not perfectly balanced but very close! They are super sharp and a sharpener comes with the set and if you research knives based on the metal they are made with you should choose an appropriate cutting board material to help maintain that sharpness. I like the handle and the weight and these are very sharp! all knives dull, obviously I have not had them long enough to have to sharpen them but the day will come. I am super pleased with my purchase.

I received this knife set as a free sample in exchange for agreeing to write this review. I already had a similar knife set, but was having issues with the sharpness. The new knife set arrived and when I opened it up, I was very pleased with the appearance. A very sleek set of knives with a wooden block. I hand washed them prior to using, then tested them out. I was so pleased with the quality. I compared the large cutting knife side by side to my old one and it was able to slice through a tomato much easier. The steak knives are also very sharp (and easy to grip). Overall I am very pleased I tried out a new set. They are much better than my old ones and I plan to use these for a long time.

This J.A. Heckles 15 piece Knife Block set was sent to us as free sample for review and admittedly we have a set of Heckles knives we received 17 years ago as a wedding gift (which we love!). So this knife set had a large bill to fill! When I first removed them from the box I immediately felt how lightweight they felt in my hand I quickly drew the conclusion they would be unable to tackle heavy jobs. Well I was wrong. The blades are not overly thick/heavy and to this I was surprised at how sharp and sturdy these are! I used them on the Christmas dinner and it glided thru the rib roast with out sawing or heavy pressure. And the serrated knives do a fantastic job on loaves of bread and bagels. Straight clean lines thru the bread. The scissors have a very clean cut and the length of cut is very versatile. I reach for those many times a day (and leave my 17 year old ones in their block).The included block organizes all of the knives and keeps is within arms reach. Two observations: I have a large hand for a lady, and my husband has good size hands as well. So the handle is a little thinner than I personally prefer, but this does not impede the quality of the cut from he knife. And secondly, I was disappointed that upon the first washing the scissors in the dishwasher there was a discolored spot on them which we had not been able to remove. Again, does not impact the quality of the product and I do use them daily. For the price it's a fantastic knife block - I would recommend this knife block set as a gift or to a friend.

What a great looking product. This knife set is excellent quality, very durable and sharp! I have used the set quite a few times throughout the holidays and everything has been great. No complaints here! The product was packaged well and very dishwasher safe.

The first thing I noticed was how well the knife set and wood block looked. The craftsmanship is incredible. It is a great addition to my kitchen. The chef knifes are very sharp and fit well in my hand. They are very easy to work with. The steak knifes are amazing! You can slice through a steak or pork chop very easily with smooth, clean cuts. I have used Cutco knifes in the past and this set blows them out of the water. The quality is far superior and they are much more fitting to the hand. I would recommend that this is a must have item for every kitchen.

I was so surprised how "beautiful" this set is.....I know this doesn't sound like a big deal for a knife set - but it does sit on your counter and it does matter! I can also let you know that the knives are sharp and as well come with a knife sharpener! All in all this is a great set and well worth the cost of the set.

The knife set was really easy organizing each piece in its proper place in the block The knives are great for cutting meats like steak and chicken and for preparing vegetables. I also love the block that organizes everything in one place. It also includes a sharpening tool to keep them sharp. The price is what you would expect for the quality. Overall I love this set but it was missing the paring knife. I give this set an overall 5 star rating.

First off let me start with saying I had heard of Henckels knives prior to receiving a free sample to test and review. Upon setting them up in my kitchen, it was apparent that they where nice visual addition. Which lets be honest we all look for in any counter top utensil display. Next and most importantly, I set to using my knives throughout the last week while cooking our daily meals. One of the first things I noticed was the solid weight of the knives in my hand. While preparing meats and vegetables this added weight feel gives a stability to the knife as you cut. Another important feature is the variety provided to cover any need. The kitchen shears and sharpener are both invaluable. Lastly, the ease of cleaning up is a big plus to me. I know as part of any review the negatives are expected and necessary. At this point though I have found no down side to this product. Corny as it may sound, I am looking forward to many years of kitchen companionship with my new knives.

I gave it 4 stars because I am not an experienced cook or an expert on knives. However, I do cook for myself once or twice a day and out of all the knife sets I have used, theJ.A. Henckels 15pc set is my favorite. When you first open the package, the knives are individually wrapped. The box also recommends hand washing the knives before usage. Besides that, there is not much else to do besides find a spot for the block set. The block itself is a great size and can fit in most spaces. I did not have any trouble finding a spot for it. Also, the handles of the knives are easy to grip and I personally enjoy the look of them. Overall, this product has an excellent balance of quality as well as quantity for a standard price.

I received this product for free in exchange for writing a review. I am very happy with this product. The knives came very sharp and ready to use. The quality of these knives are great. I used the scissors to cut pizza and they worked really well. I did put them in the dishwasher and had no issues with them. I have not put the knives through the dishwasher yet but I have hand washed them and have not noticed any spotting or rusting. I also think the design of the block is very modern and will look nice in any kitchen. I am NOT an avid cook but I would recommend this knife set to the average person who enjoys cooking.

Great quality for price for a standard kitchen. I feel they will last for quite some years to come if treated right and proper.
