I like the lamps but they are over priced compared to the quality received. The directions are confusing-the first step has nothing to do with step 2 althought it is written as if they belong together. Some of the other steps pictured were confusing too. None of the parts are labeled, so it look me awhile to figure out how to put it together. The white panels are flimsy. Also there is no way to change the bottom light bulb once you put the lamp together without taking the entire bottom panel off. The way the cord that connects the top light to the bottom lights is clumsy looking. Lastly you can't turn on the top light without the bottom light. You can turn the top light off by pulling the metal cord but you cannot turn off the bottom light and just use the top light. The light turns on using a floor botton but it looks kinda ugly the way the cords are attached to the lamp on the floor Had I known these things before compltely putting the lamps together I would not have purchased these lamps. The manufacturer should have shown a more accurate product description
