I love this little machine.. it gets the job done! It's light, but very powerful.. Anyone who doesn't have someone around to give them massages, needs this massager. It's just as effective!

I love this product I like the fact that it has the shiatu and the vibration or you can just have vibration or Shiatu or together. I've been using this product since 2012.

Worth every penny

After a long day, this is the perfect tool to loosen up. Its simple and effective. Reviews mentioning noise are unfounded in my opinion and in fact, the humming is relaxing. The pressure is exactly what it should be: this type of technique is not for everyone though. I find the covering un-intrusive , the construction of the device is such that its useful on every area from shoulders to low back.

I occasionally have back pain and this was a great find. It can be a little rough if you lean back on it too hard but otherwise if you're suffering from upper or lower pain this helps and feels great.

5 star but unfortunately returning

Received on time and works as it should, however, I will be returning the massager. For me, it is just TOO STRONG. It hurts with every rotation and it's not possible to place it in a comfortable position. The base is hard, not at all like a "pillow" in my opinion. As I said, this does exactly what it's supposed to and it's certainly of high quality, but it hurts me because it's too hard on my body.

Simple, Limited Use Case but Affordable

I think this is an older version of the existing Shiatsu Elite that Homedics has. Functionality seems the same, just the color was different so I purchased this on sale. This is super basic, it's good for spots in your lower back. The vibration is strong so it is kind of loud. I have the ShiatsuFlex® Massage Cushion, Quad Action Shiatsu Kneading Neck & Shoulder Massager With Heat, and this item. Each item has its own use case for me and I think the price reflects what each product provides fairly. I'm planning to get one more product from Homedics in the future and it will probably be their more expensive Total Recline Shiatsu Massage Cushion or something similar because I want an option to lay in bed before I sleep. I use the Shiatsu 3D and Quad Action for spot treatments (think neck, upper-mid-lower back, hamstrings, calves, and feet) and I use the ShiatsuFlex cushion on a chair when I watch TV. The ShiatsuFlex is not as intense but covers more area on my body so it's more relaxing. The Quad Action is the most intense, I have to use it carefully near my neck area. Overall, I think these Homedics products are reasonably priced considering that massages are very expensive and time-consuming. Try to wait for their sales when you purchase your item.

Very heavy to move around. Can't use under neck while laying down - uncomfortable and noisy. Found I COULD use it on my hips better so I'm keeping it.

This is not even as good as the one that I had 20 years ago. That 1 the balls could move in and out. You can adjust how far apart they were when it rubbed you this one cannot.

My old one lasted for 15 years! This new model is much heavier and not comfortable on my neck or upper back. I returned it yesterday. Plus the cord is not as long. Well made but way too heavy for me.

I had high hopes for the Shiatsu massage pillow. I carry a lot of tension and stiffness in my upper back and neck. Unfortunately, there isn’t much movement in the shiatsu balls and the position of the balls doesn’t fit my neck. The heat is mild and not very helpful either.

Thanks for your review. The SP-100 massage pillow has a compact and versatile design so the user can maneuver the pillow to provide a soothing heat and vibration massage on the neck, back, shoulders, and legs. Keeps reversing. Sometimes hurts.

I had the old version of the massager, and it worked great, but after a couple of years it broke. This version is a cheaper version and doesn’t work nearly as well. The main problem is that once you get it, positioned it keeps on reversing and sometimes hurts. It’s not relaxing because you have to keep moving. Just stop the errant reversals. I’m so sorry I bought it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works well enough! It definitely helps loosen up my back when it starts to hurt and the heat is nice. It's kinda oddly shaped for a chair and I wish you could also run the head separately from the massage, but otherwise it's good.

Very basic massager

Zulu - 2 years ago
It didn’t meet my expectations. No matter how I put it, it doesn’t feel comfortable, keeps moving, I have to readjust it and practically I can’t relax and just enjoy the massage. No strap to put it on the back of my chair and get a massage while working. The only massage options are kneading, vibration or combination of both. I hate vibration. My Homedics back massager has rolling instead of vibration and it’s great. You also can’t adjust the strength of the massage. It’s pretty basic. I’d rather spend $200-300 on a back and neck massage cushion because they have a lot more features and can be used while sitting on a chair or while laying on them.
