Very easy to set up, odd that you have to disconnect from Wifi to change clock settings. Also Honeywell doesn’t have an app for the thermostat. That is something that should be added. If it did it would then definitely be a 5 star rating.
They should all be like this!

Hi Matthew D, this model does have the auto changeover feature where the unit can switch between heat and cool automatically. Please see below. To enable Auto Changeover: 1. Select Settings 2. Select Preferences > Advanced Preferences 3. Press next to Heating and Cooling system changeover setting 4. Select Automatic

I have two Honeywell thermostats… One in my Florida home one in my New York home. Connectivity and remote control was very important in my purchase choice-I downloaded the Resideo app they recommended and when they do app maintenance, your Honeywell will go offline Leaving you powerless to control your home temperature. You have to find someone a neighbor or a friend or family member to go into the house and reprogram. We don’t return until February 2026 so there we are. Good idea gone bad.

The thermostat is built very nice and packaged very well. Hook up was fairly easy in my situation even though it wasn't your normal install.i liked how it's easily controlled. Display is easy to read. Disappointment in the app is very high. I had hoped to be able to see when my system cycles on and off and for how long.

On the positive side, the thermostat has maintained it's WiFi connection for the past two months without fail. I have tested the connection when away from the home while on my cell Internet connection and I have always been able to access the unit and change settings. My previous Nest thermostat regularly lost it's WiFi connection which made it useless for monitoring the temperature of my home while away for several months at a time. On the downside, in my opinion, when the inside temperature is set to say 72 and the actual temperature and if the temperature goes up, the AC is turned on and if the temperature goes down, the furnace is turned on. This system requires the inside temperature Set Point for cooling and heating to be set separately. This system requires the inside temperature Set Point for cooling and heating to be set separately on a daily schedule.I find it confusing and less effective in practice than the one temperature setting method. If anyone understands the logic and value in this method, please enlighten me.

I wanted a thermostat that had controllable temp swings but this does not. Also the screen has too much patterning and background graphics that make it harder to read. If I had it all to do over again knowing what I know now, I probably would’ve bought a different one that had adjustable temp swings. I will keep it till I install my new furnace and sc then switch to a better one.

The app is kinda bland. I think more work can be put into it to make it look good. I can’t save schedules and switch between them. I have to completely erase my current schedule to put a new one in. There should be a “cancel” hold button right on the Home Screen instead is pressing “press for options”. Also Apple home integration would be awesome

reason for 3 star is intermittent outside temp display. shows updating and stays in that mode till you get annoyed and power it down and up and after display shows the out temp till goes into updating again and have to repeat the previous steps.... very annoying and keeps happening despite a very good and strong wifi signal and stable internet and router......not happy at all. I may return it for a refund. sad reputation for Honeywell.....

The app sucks. You can only turn on heat/ac and change temperature. Why does the app not allow you to make fan changes or any other settings from the app.

I bought 2 of these yesterday. Everything went very well. One small thing with installation kit, you include a jumper wire (I had to wire a jumper in for E+AUX, good thing I had the right size wire nut!) so you may as well include a wire nut as well. If you need one then you need the other, right? Also, this is my copy/pasted app review: The app is an overall good experience. I've only had one error while using it, and restarting the app solved the issue. I believe the settings section in the app needs all or most of the options that are available on the thermostat when configuring it manually. From a technical standpoint I see no reason that can't be done. Once that is added to the app, it will be a 5 star app!

I didn't realize how much i would like or use a wi fi thermostat until i started using this one. It took a bit if reconfiguring but it was easy and well worth it. We travel between our home and our camp plus we have an RV. i can shut down or adjust the temp when i'm away and simply set it an hour or so before we get home to the temp i want. We can set different temps throughout the day. simply use the app in our phones. it works great. also eould be great for the elderly thry can adjust the temperature anytime anywhere from their phone
