At least 6 to 12 times a day getting messed Having trouble with connection to Internet. Changed 5 routers and access points, but same issue. Worst product in my whole life I ever bought. Please save yourself from this junk.

The Temperature that is shown on my screen is no where close to correct temp in the house. I placed a hand held thermometer next to the T-stat and it was about 15 degrees warmer on the display than it was on the hand held. Is there a way to Calibrate this model? Any help would be great! This is why I only gave it 3 Stars.

Hi Bloggy, our thermostats use the ambient and radiant temperature for the indoor temperature display, so this reading may differ from conventional thermometers. To ensure your thermostat is displaying the correct indoor temperature, please see verify there is insulation behind the thermostat wall plate, that there are no drafts within the wall, that the thermostat is not exposed to direct sunlight and that it is distanced from electronics such as TV’s and lights.

Thermostat device works as a thermostat should. The wifi phone app is OK. I can program and set device from my smart phone. The big disappointment is, the main reason for me installing this thermostat is for the ability to controal temperature change through alexas voice command. Alexa is unable to find the device. I am disabled and I'm either cold, hot but now always miserable because I'm unable to use voice command after paying so much money to have my device installed.

We had this unit for 5 yrs. Initially it worked ok. But the connection to the WiFi network started to fail. The app was useless, the display would go blank for several minutes, then turn back on. That behavior was getting more frequent as time wore on. I replaced this “Smart" thermostat with a manual thermostat. The only "digital" on it is the temperature. I would not recommend this thermostat.

T5 thermostat works well and is mostly easy to use. My only concern is that the run time is too short. There does not appear to be any way to change it. It tries to maintain the exact temperature causing it to start up run for a few minutes, and then it shuts off. The system should run longer for efficiency.

I have 3 of these and they work fine. Initially one of them lost wifi connectivity, but I determined it had a low wifi signal and replaced my wifi router to compensate, which improved connectivity to other devices (e.g. a Google Nest camera) as well. Its great to be able to monitor and adjust temperature when away from the house, and also to see daily run times in the app. I'd like it if the app would show average outdoor temperature for each day, as well as run time.

After installing two new HVAC units in my home over the past 5 years, the HVAC company supplied T5 thermostats as part of a Lenox bundle. In addition, my power company (AEP/PSO) offered T5s as part of a peak demand savings program. I bought a total of 4 T5s (2 spares) thinking I would have backup if one failed. Over the past 5 yrs, all of the units have failed on average after 2 years of service. I cannot get a warranty replacement because these units were purchased from HVAC and power company. If anyone from Resideo / Honeywell would like to respond to this, I'm all ears. Otherwise, I'm moving on to another manufacturer.

The app is so limited with its programming, it’s barely one step above having a manual dial. The product claims to save money with heating and cooling, but it runs ALL the time, even when target temperature is reached. I have to set it so low in the winter so that it won’t constantly blast me with heat. And if you like sleeping, forget about it. Even in “sleep schedule” mode it kicks on every hour and blasts away. I have tried setting it to 57 degrees overnight so it won’t constantly fire away, but even on a temperature hold, it keeps going. I’m so afraid for what summer will bring if this is the nightmare I’m experiencing in the winter. I miss my Google Nest more than I could imagine.

We have had this thermostat one year and have called the HVAC company out at least 4 times thinking there was something wrong with the unit but it’s actually the thermostat. Then when you want to speak with someone over the phone or via chat …there’s no number to call and the chat specialist never gets on the line. The support button sends you around in circles until you just say forget it! Who’s got time for that!! A joke for sure. I will not be using this thermostat again!

This device disconnects from wifi when the power goes out and, on occasion, for no reason. Wifi setup is somewhat complicated, In addition, when the wifi disconnects, it cannot be reset remotely, so you have no way to control the thermostat if you are offsite. In addition, the device just stopped controlling the heat entirely and had to go back to a factory reset.

Make sure to check the configurations fort your ac configuration: model, cables, type etc, so you can configure your thermostat properly. Once correctly configured, it works marvelously.

This product worked fairly well and was easy to install/replace my old thermostat. The app was nice and convenient. However for this price you’d also expect to get more than a 3 years out of it. The display completely went black after 3 years (outside of warranty of course). The only solution offered was to purchase a new thermostats. Luckily I kept the old one, which still works fine, despite being over 8 years old. I’d rather not have to replace my thermostat every few years.

Canceled my contract provider and Replaced 2-T6 with the 2-T5 Smart WiFi. So happy. EZ to use and setup was a breeze. Up and running in minutes. No service contract, no fees. Programming schedule with Resideo is a breeze. Apple Home care compatible to add more devices. I would recommend to Honeywell to use a bolder font and provide manual Fan runtime option.

After installation AC would not come on...

I followed the instructions for installation and set-up. AC did not turn on even when thermostat was flashing COOL ON. I replaced with old thermostat, then got C-wire adapter. It still did not turn on the AC unit. I was ready to return it until I saw Youtube video that said it takes a few minutes to turn on the AC unit. So I installed it again and without the C-wire adapter. It finally did turn the AC unit on - in my case it took 7 minutes to do so. It would be very helpful to note that delay in the manual. I bet I wasted 1.5hrs trying to fix a problem that did not exist.

Hi Mike197, we are sorry to hear about this. Once you change the system mode, the thermostat will show 'Cool On' or 'Heat On' flashing on the screen, this is the 5 minute compressor protection. Once the 'Cool On' (or 'Heat On') message stops flashing the system should start running. We recommend you keeping an eye on this and if you see that the system is not running while the 'Cool On' message is steady on the screen, please contact us for help. Touch screen stopped responding after less than two years. Yes it’s getting power, yes can be controlled by the app—until you unplug it to reset it to see if it will woek and it 1) doesn’t work, and 2) now is reset to the app can’t find it and you are unable to reconnect because the screen doesn’t work. Now I have to go buy a new t-stat immediately b/c I have zero control over my system.

I wanted to get the best, and I did. The nest died soon after purchase so I decided to buy the biggest name in thermostats, Honeywell. I use it at my lake house to control my AC/heat from anywhere. The app is great and works very well.
