Got a chance to use this last weekend at the Ghee and it was the first time I've actually enjoyed using a Balaclava with my helmet. Usually they bunch up in spots or just make it weird to breathe but this one was a good thickness and the movable lower section works great to cover when you want and pull it down without stretching it all out when you don't want to cover.

The BS head coverings are excellent. The fit and hinged front make it #1 in my opinion. I have others but don’t use them. The BS are lightweight so fit well under your helmet. And if you’re into fashion they offer many prints to choose from.

Great item to add some warmth under a ski helmet. Wearing the face shield on your chin or down on your neck does not pull the hood over your eyes. Works just as designed.

It was time to upgrade from my polar fleece neckwarmer! It fits nicely under my helmet and the printed neck portion matches my jacket well. The second time I wore it I did wear my polar fleece under it as it was a single digit day and I needed extra warmth! NH has been cold and windy this season.

I bought the lightweight tropical print balaclava. After using many other brands and types, this Blackstrap exceeded my expectations. The thinner stretch fabric fits well inside my helmet, and the fabric doesn't chafe my skin. The best part is that the front piece is independent of the hood, so it is much easier to pull up or down, plus the thin material breathes better - so my goggles don't fog! One minus (not their fault) is that my jacket has velcro on the collar - and it started to rub on the hood and chafed it a little.
