This was my first purchase of your fully cooked bacon and I was so disappointed. It does not look like bacon, smell like bacon nor taste like the bacon I remember from Hormel. The only positive is that it is convenient. The bacon strips are paper thin, do not look any better when heated. I do not feel that I got my money's worth on this purchase. I bought the large package, 72 sliced ready cooked bacon...I will go back to the regular next time.

I purchased it the first time a couple of months ago and enjoyed that package. Subsequently purchased it 3 more times since and each time it was completely tasteless. If you close your eyes and don't know what it is you would never believe it's supposed to be bacon. I don't understand why one package was great and the rest a total waste of money. I won't be buying anymore.

I have always loved the convenience and taste of this bacon but the package I opened this morning was so horrible I do not know if I ever want to buy it again. The bacon is a horrible yellowish color and smells putrid. It was not expired, and the packaging does not look like it had been tampered with. I am just so disappointed

I've been a regular user of the Family Pack , so called, "ThickCut" bacon but the last 2 purchases smelled bad before and after cooking. Something is very wrong with this meat! Also what is thick about these slices- Nothing!!!. The after smell is so bad- nothing about it smells like bacon! After cooking, tasted terrible. I cooked another layer, same smell , look and taste. I was afraid to get sick and trashed the entire box. Purchased another Family pack, same thing! Something is wrong. It's like the meat is bad, not freezer burnt, but rotten in some way. If I could rate it a "0" I would have . Previous purchases would have been a 3 because it's certainly not "Thick Cut". Something is wrong with this meat!!

The product went from great to terrible. I bought a large 10.5 oz package and ended up with a bag of dried bacon bits. The first two layers were normal but the rest of over cooked and dried from the packing plant.

I heat it in the oven. I think it's much better than heating it in the microwave. If I'm cooking biscuits, or anything else in the oven, I just put the bacon in at the end. Delicious.

I make a potato crust Quiche and have enjoyed using this. I also use it in scrambled eggs. But the most recent package had overcooked and too fatty pieces. I do have another box and will try it but I am not hopeful. I would answer the "recommend" question with YES but for that...add POSSIBLY as a choice.

7.56 oz family pack. I've always been a consumer of black label bacon. However I will not buy this family pack again. 1. It is hard to evenly cook as packaged. 2. It is definitely NOT thick cut. 3. I don't know why but favor was not there It also seemed really dry. I thought you should know.

I have used and enjoyed Black Label Fully Cooked Bacon for many years. I opened a package yesterday to find half of the 10 slices overcooked and the other half very undercooked. I opened a second package with the same UPC and Use By Date, and it was the same as the first. I did try to warm 10 slices of the overcooked bacon in the microwave for 20 seconds on high, and while they were edible, they definitely had an overdone taste and were very crunchy. I was very disappointed in the quality of the product in those two packages. Incidentally, I've noticed quite frequently that the two sections of 5 slices per package are seldom precooked to the same degree. I've often had to microwave 5 slices at a time to prevent from overcooking the slices that are more precooked than the other 5.

BLT NOTHING WAS GOOD ABOUT IT. IT HAD A PLASTIC SLIGHTLY SOUR, CHEMICAL PROCESSED TASTE. THE ONLY WAY I KNEW IT WAS BACON WAS BECAUSE THE PACKAGE SAID SO. OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T OF HAD A CLUE WHAT IT WAS.
