Hot Wheels City Downtown Car Wash

This and multiple other parts of the Downtown set were gifted to my 6 year old for Christmas. He was SO excited and really likes them. The worst part is the track that connects them. The curve angles and track lengths are all just off enough that none of them fit together to connect each set to another. It looks like it should work but they don't end up lining up smoothly no matter how you work them. The pictures attached are just a sample of how it doesn't fit. Believe me, we've tried every configuration imaginable, this is just today's attempt. It all ends up that every time he wants to play with them and make tracks between the downtown features we end up in pure frustration- him and I- we both just want it to work and it doesn't. VERY FRUSTRATING experience.

He’s into car washes (aren’t all kids) and he was happy to race his cars around and then put them through the car wash. His toddler sister also loved this set. Kids love car washes.

It's well made, easy for small hands to maneuver, and full of bright colors and interactive mechanisms. It is well made and durable. I believe it will last though many days of play!

They used hot wheels cars and also other little cars and both seemed to work with the car wash. However, it is not as sturdy as other hot wheels toys we’ve had in the past. It might also be best for those who have the tracks to connect to the car wash. My sons lost a bit of interest because they didn’t have the tracks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was so excited to get this express car wash. However, we were super disappointed at the lack of quality details. The rotating sign and gas station only had a decal sticker for 1 side when 2 would have looked much better. The car wash itself has no "water" feature to it. Such as a reservoir or rain shower. The interactive feature is turning the too carwash sign to move a car through the carwash but even that doesn't function properly with the car getting stuck at the end almost everytime. Not the quality we'd expect from the Hotwheels line.

All three of my youngest kids were able to move it, set it up, play with it, and store it away. It connects perfectly with their other tracks! We are currently in the process of buying all the rest of the add ons due to recovering this toy!!

This Car Wash Speed Clean Playset was very easy to assemble right out of the box and comes with a car to use, so win win! This set connects to other Hot Wheels sets and is a great add on. Kids can easily twist the logo sign and send the cars rolling through the wash which includes a foam roller and drying flaps for all over coverage.

This Hot Wheels City Car Wash is wonderful as a standalone piece, or, built into the set. We used it as a standalone, but we all had so much fun lining up at the car wash! My kiddos absolutely loved the realistic gas pump as well as the ramp that they raced their cars down. The attention to detail on this toy lets imaginations run wild - from the realistic details of the carwash, which include an arm that raises and lowers, and the drive thru curtain that brushes over the car - kids are sure to have tons of fun cleaning their Hot Wheels!! This car wash is certain to bring hours of family fun!!

He likes how the car wash spins, and he enjoys the details, like the stickers and the gas pump. It's nice how there are two levels, and the best part is that this playset connects easily to his other Hot Wheels sets! It's great because then he remembers his other sets and Hot Wheels cars and can play with them again! This set definitely complements the Hot Wheels world well!

My son uses it will his car play mat because it does not fit our race track pieces we already own. It has several fun features for such a small little toy. It spins cars from one side of the car wash to the other. While some of our taller construction trucks won’t fit the car wash most our other vehicles will. It has a flip up ramp to get cars to the top level where there is a gas pump with usable nozzle which my son loves. It’s a fun, colorful toy with cute details.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I chose the city car wash set I must of assumed that you could get the cars wet. That is not the case. It’s a cute set if you are adding onto the hot wheels city, but too small and uninteresting to play with on its own.

The moveable conveyor belt to push the cars through was their favorite part. They were slightly fooled by the box, because they thought they were going to actually use water with it, that is not the case. The playset itself is on the small side, but we can see now how it clicks together with a much larger playset. Overall a fun toy, and they loved the car that was included.

The Hot Wheels™ City Car Wash Speed Clean Playset has a crank on top to send Hot Wheels cars and though a pretend car wash complete with bright stickers, a window to watch the cars moving, and two sponge rollers to pretend wash your cars. My son was so happy that he and his two year old brother rounded up all the cars in the living room and sent each one through the car wash. They pretended that they were driving in and told the cars that were too big, “sorry mister, you can’t fit!” The crank is easy to turn and my youngest can do it on his own. My eldest son did wish that he could get the rollers wet, but I didn’t see anything in the directions that says you should get them wet, so we didn’t because we didn’t want to harm the toy. The Hot Wheels™ City Car Wash Speed Clean Playset is a little smaller than what I was expecting; but it’s loaded with a lot of nice Hot Wheels details including a ramp for cars to park above the car wash. This is the first Hot Wheels City toy that we have owned- he usually stay in the orange racing track category, but this is a nice, detailed, toy that both my seven and two year old enjoy playing with. It holds the interest of my two year old a little longer than my seven year old, but they really enjoy playing together. I want to purchase more City items to add it in and make a bigger Hot Wheels experience for them.

The experience was the perfect compliment (and motivation for us, wink) for the Mattel Hot Wheels City Car Wash toy that was about to arrive. As anticipated, each of the girls, ages 14, 7 & 4 enjoyed it at their own levels. From the tiny details of the gas pump to the sponges that could be wet for a realistic wash of the super fast and sleek pink car that came with it. I was proud of their new-found first love and enjoyment of hot wheels just as I experienced as a kid. Next, we’ll look out for the “cool” attachments to accompany and add to it. I plan on using the additions as rewards for their accomplishments.
