Q: gmail does not work in s mode. is there a way to fix this? With still having the laptop be in a security mode

A: Thank you for the question. You can add Gmail to Microsoft Mail. Open Windows Mail, and select Add account. Select Google from the list. Enter your Gmail email address, and select Next. Type in your Gmail password, and select Next. Windows will ask permission to access your Gmail account, select Allow. Enter your name as you want people to see it when you send them an email message, and select Sign in. Your mail will sync and display in Windows Mail a moment later.

I bought the laptop a month ago and it's a really good all round. Quick to bootup, performance and keyboard are good, rich colours on screen, and solid battery performance. However the only let down is the mousepad which is very plasticky, noisy and not to the same quality as the rest of the laptop.

Bought Intel i5 12th gen to upgrade Intel i5 11th gen. Not impressed with its performance at all. Also the laptop is the same body as my original. You could have made tiny cosmetic changes. In essence I shouldn't have bothered. The only saving grace is my daughter has the old one. Have had HP for a decade. Next time a change is on the agenda.

Comments of product design. This model has two USB-A ports on the same side. These are too close and inconvenient when one needs to have several devices connected. Better to have one on each side, as on some other hp models. Silver keyboard very difficult to read, but black keyboard is fine.

This very slim light laptop lacks little. The 1TB hard drive has loads of room. Its a fast piece of kit. The scrren is sharp and clear My only gripe is that I like more USB ports than this model offers. Even so I will not part with it as it is extemely good value for money. The i7 chip drives the machine along at a spanking rate even when multi-tasking.

Bought this for my 73 year old wife as a Christmas present. As she is a bit of a tecnophobe, then I went through the initial set-up procedure with her and to her suprise it was fairy straightforward! However, it did need a fair amount of updates and for some reason this took a long time. I've added a couple of useful security/cleaner apps and everything seems to be running smoothy. I personally have bought various HP Laptops and PC's over many years and have not been dissapointed with the equipment provided. Initially, this laptop looks to be good value for your money based on the specification and I would recommend this to anyone.
