Humphreys Nourish Witch Hazel with Aloe Alcohol-Free Toner - Unscented - 8 fl oz

The care that Humphrey’s takes to harvest organic witch hazel is what attracted me to the brand, which I’ve used for a couple of years now. I was specifically looking for a pure, organic, witch hazel product to use as a toner as well as for other antiseptic needs as they arise. I started having a reaction recently which prompted more research and I found that in my excitement to find organic and alcohol free, I overlooked the addition of phenoxyethanol as a preservative. This ingredient is a known skin irritant which causes eczema and other reactions. Very disappointing. Please use caution and always consult the Environmental Working Group (EWG.org) when buying cosmetic (or any) products. Humphrey’s: please consider removing all toxic chemicals from your products and please be more transparent about toxic additives…especially because you boast organic and alcohol free.

I stumbled upon this & am so happy I did! I haven't used a timer in years because they made my face burn & feel tight & dry. This makes my son do smooth & soft & helps even out my pink cheeks! I love it! No makeup or filters needed!

It’s absorbs well and hydrated my skin. It gives my skin a glow.

Honestly this product is working wonders for me. As you might see by the many comments the smell is awful. But beauty hurts rights. I still use it if it gives me that miracle glow.

I love that this doesn't have a scent. I also love that it is alcohol free. Sometimes my skin is sensitive so this is a great toner for me.

Decided to buy this as a first-time toner due to the short and all-natural ingredients list as well as the advertised "aloe", however this toner smells nothing like aloe and instead smells pungently of jarred Spanish olives. You know, the kind that has pimento in them. My skin felt veeery slightly tingly after the spot test as well, so I'll unfortunately be returning this one and buying the fragrance free Thayers brand which I was originally deciding over.

Maybe this product works, but I’ll never know because the smell is abhorrent and I cannot keep using it.

Been using for a month and I love how my skin feels after using it twice a week. I would not have known about this product except for Shopkick. Also love the smell.

I’d never tried toner before this one so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I didn’t want to get the Thayer’s for whatever reason so I ended up getting this one instead. The bottle is really pretty (which is a plus for me), it has a short ingredient list and works amazingly. I have combination skin, recovering from acne, and I can most definitely say that my face has looked better and I haven’t had as many breakouts as in the past! If you’re no the fence about buying it, do it! It’s so worth it :)

My skin is sensitive so I was happy to find a toner that works for me like this one. The refreshing feeling after applying it is amazing, I love how my skin feels!

I absolutely love this product! I always apply Humphreys to my face after I shower and follow up with a moisturizer. My skin has really cleared up since I started using it!

Not a fan. I have sensitive skin, and this is marketed as alcohol-free, non-stripping, no harsh chemicals, etc. My face was literally burned after using this. The reason I gave this 2 stars is because maybe it would work for someone else with less sensitive skin than I, but I have NEVER had a toner burn me like this one. I literally had patches of redness and bumps after using this. Yikes.

I am giving 2 stars only due to the scent. If you are sensitive to smells, I would not recommend this item. It had such a strong smell I ended up rinsing it off of my face after the first application and returning the item.
