Q: can you open it without unzipping? (Hatch opening)?

A: Hi sgiaco01 - thanks for the question! The Igloo Marine Ultra 24 Can Square Cooler does not feature a hatch lid, so you would need to unzip the top to open the cooler. Eh. It’s okay. Ice melted after a few hours and it toppled over when we turned a corner and spilled water in my car even though it was zipped up. But the drinks did stay cold all day even if the ice melted.

this is the perfect size for the beach/picnic. I got this because our rolling cooler didn't do well in the sand and this for everything for 5 people perfectly. the only complaint is that what shopping it your have to make sure the interior lip is tucked inside.

I brought this cooler for the beach. It’s a great size for drinks and also keeps the drinks cold and ice doesn’t melt fast. However, the bag is already falling apart. The stitching is ripping already. Very disappointed in this cooler.

Great cooler that helped me transport my insulin supplies (liquid freaking gold, y'all!) to another site when our power was off. I was able to fit all my insulin vial boxes in and with room to spare. I'm looking forward to other uses once we're out of quarantine!

Great bag! The fix it would be the fact that the zippered pocket is stitched right to the bag, basically making the pocket useless because you can barely lift the material to place anything inside the pocket. This could be fixed by Igloo spending another 50 cents on material to actually engineer a pouch so the pocket could have some space to be a utility. Other than that, it's a decent design. I use mine for a lunch box, a large one at that that can hold a day's worth of food for a working stiff like me.
