Ive 2 of these coolers a 12 can and a 30 can both zippers have failed so I use them with velcro. I definitely would NOT recommend until RTIC gets larger zippers like their competitor. Not happy and of course zippers came apart months after the year warranty.

Great buy, out of the top brands out there this was by far the better option price wise. Being able to personalize the bag is also a nice added feature but, I feel it should be an added option that should be included into the cost. I feel you should be able to personalize your bag at no additional cost due to the premium price tag.

Was very excited for this cooler for the beach, a year later and not used over 20 days, zipper is all broken. The seal has completely cracked and fallen off. The tab to close/open the zipper broke in half on the second day. We take very good care of this cooler, wash it off after a day in the beach, have lubricated the zipper with the product it brought, keep it off direct sun and now is useless because it will not stay cool. Ice melts almost immediately. Definitely not leakproof anymore. This was too expensive for how it’s aged even with excellent care. I’m very disappointed in the quality.

The cooler itself isn’t bad and works as intended. I really wish that I had listened to the reviews about the zipper before purchasing this product though. I ignored them thinking it was user error or negligence and went ahead with the purchase anyway. The package comes with a small bottle of lube that you need to apply to the zipper so it doesn’t break. So it’s a known issue to the company, and that’s their fix. I applied the product to the zipper as instructed and used the cooler as intended. The zipper still broke, leaving the cooler useless. I contacted RTIC and got no reply. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend purchasing this item.

This was a gift for my husband who runs a local handyman service. Especially in the summertime (we live in South Georgia), he takes bottled water and bottles of gatorade as well as a snack or two to work. This cooler is working out very well and fits perfectly behind the front seat of the work truck. Very pleased with the construction and it is attractive, too.
