I bought a Gray/Blue 40 can soft cooler in 2015 that finally had a busted seam on the lid last year from strapping it down to tight. That thing went on several canoe trips, camping trips, floated down river (not on purpose) and lasted 9 years. The new one (Green and Tan) I bought last fall I expected to be as good of quality. First time pulling the zipper the T handle snapped and the rubber around the zipper tore. I didn't pull too hard or too quick. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the materials quality. Insulation is now compromised due to the rubber being torn. Won't keep ice and cooler packs cold for days. I gave 2 stars because my first RTIC was fantastic.

This is my second one of the 30 can soft cooler. After 5 years and too many beach and camping trips to count my first one needed replacing. The new one is exactly the same as the first one - don’t fix what isn’t broken I suppose. Looking forward to many more years.

Really loved my rtic cooler but it seems there is zipper malfunction and I have seen this on others as well. Even took it to a tailor to see if there was a way to fix it and there isn’t. For as much as you spend on these definitely needs adjustment to design to prevent this.

it’s been great and I am very impressed by the Rtic ice perfect size for my route to keep all my snacks lunch & drinks for 10-12 hr day. I use it as a mega lunch box and it’s perfect. You can unzip the lid and the insulation fits inside the cooler so you can just flip it open and grab something. I have noticed my ice the caps are loose? Can’t wait to use it in hot weather this summer!

Zipper came off track after about 6 months of light use. Since it was broken I modified by removing the overlapping material, but that fix only lasted a few times. Good cooler, terrible zipper.

The cooler otself is very nice, does the job BUT I could tell the sipper wasn’t going to be rough enough when it arrived. I asked should we sent it back? But we decided to keep it, there was a tube of zipper lubricant, so I guess that gave some hope. The zipper was had to get started and to open/close but it was easier with the lubricant. The first time we actually used it, the zipper broke. To be specific the black rubber zipper handle attachment broke off the zipper.

Had a small issue with the zipper right after I purchased it but they were in the ball and the warranty promptly fixed the issue a sent me a brand new cooler. I am outside a lot for work do keeping my lunch cold is important and this does just that paired with the RTIC ice packs. Would highly recommend.
