Immi Roasted 'Pork' Tonkotsu Plant Based Ramen Cup - 2oz

Knew what I was buying when I decided to try these. But holy moly, the smell made me want to spit up. The taste was so bland, so I added some chicken bouillon -- defeats the low sodium, but it was the only way I could tolerate to eat this. I get the concept, but I'm likely not going to buy again.

Opted to give this a review because all of the 1 star reviews appear to be from people who were completely unaware of what this product is. It is a high fiber and high protein and lower (not LOW though) sodium ramen. For what it is it is VERY good. I think the broth is quite tasty, it brings in a lot of flavors to compensate for the lessened sodium. The noodles absolutely have an odd texture, and if that puts you off of it I cannot blame you. However, they are substantial and filling. Complaining that this doesn't taste like high qaulity ramen is like complaining that a protein shake doesn't taste like something from a malt shop.

Not flavorful has a almost chemical smell to it

Delicious, it is not like regular Ramen, but a much healthier option that I enjoy! Add some veggies and its an incredible 5 minute dish.

The nastiest noodles I’ve ever ate :( waste of money

This is an insult to ramen, it's so bad. It smells bad and tastes nothing like ramen. I bought this for lunch today and I only ate one bite. Both the broth and noddle are gross!!!

I bought these on accident not seeing the quotations around pork, and once I realized they're vegan I was worried about the flavor, but figured I'd try anyway since ramen noodles are already vegan. First off, there was little flavor aside from what I could only really describe as what I think the dirty mop water after cleaning a high school boy's changing room floor after gym class would taste like, and secondly I was not ready for the texture. It's unlike anything I've ever had, and that's for good reason. Wet cardboard sounds more appealing. I didn't even swallow a single bite, I just reacted like those videos of dogs eating lemons. I immediately checked the ingredients because I knew the noodles had to be non-grain based, and yes, at the expense of carbs, grain is replaced with pea protein. That's all you really need to know.

This flavor isn’t terrible but it’s not great. I don’t know if it’s the noodles themselves or the flavor packet but it has a weird smell that when you dive in to eat it, it takes away from the enjoyment. The noodle texture is different almost like chewing gum but not in a good way. Just don’t expect classic ramen noodle texture. If you’re in a VERY tight pinch and you’re looking for high protein and you want to suffer through it a bit, then this is for you!!

Tonkotsu is one of my favorite ramens to get whenever I go out to get ramen, so I’m familiar with how it should taste (in theory). Maybe it’s because it was plant based or maybe user error, but this was gross. The noodles were rubbery and powdery and it smells gross. Really sucks because I’m not against plant based foods :(

The smell and texture were pretty terrible. One person said it smells like throw up and unfortunately I have to agree. The taste of the broth is OK, but doesn’t salvage the ramen overall.

They taste like the last meal when you have been in a bunker for 27 months straight and you realize you only have 3 days to live because either the zombies will devour you or you will die from nuclear bomb after affects, and this is the best you can do. The smell is even more unpleasant

Might be the worst ramen I've ever had. The taste is nowhere near pork or even ramen, and I couldn't take more than a couple bites before I had to throw it out in disgust.

i was getting some of the momofuku noodles, which actually taste good, when i saw this. i love tonkatsu ramen, which is typically rich, creamy and delicious, so i grabbed the last cup on the shelf, excited to give it a try. i knew something was wrong before i had even tasted it, because it smelled awful. it smelled like, i don't even know how to describe it, but like a soapy smell. foot soap maybe. i figured that maybe it was one of those things where it tastes much better than it smells...i was wrong because it tasted even worse. they matched the terrible broth with equally awful noodles to create a truly miserable taste experience. worst cup of noodles i've ever had, by a long shot.
