Q: What is the capacity of the cup? It only has hours, not tampon equivalency like other cups.
submitted by Tesa - 4 years ago
A: HI Tesa, Thank you for your interest in INTIMINA Lily Cup One. The capacity if this particular cup is 20ml or 0.67 fl. oz. We have other cups what are also considerably longer like for instance Lily Cup Classic A that has 28 ml/0.95 fl. oz. Judy@Intimina team

Gave this couple go’s but it’s leaking and when I remove it the cup it’s empty. I’m 54kg 163cm so don’t think the cup is too big when removing it feels like the cup sucked in so I’m sure I put it in correctly

For reference I am a teen girl with a heavy flow. I bought this 4 months ago as I was super excited to try it and stop using tampons for the environment and my health. I have tried it every day of my cycle for the past 4 months and no matter what I do I cannot get it to stop leaking. It took a while to get a hang of it but I am pretty comfortable getting it in and out now but i ALWAYS need to wear period underwear with it as it fully leaks. I’m not sure if it doesn’t fit me right but I’m really disappointed and confused as I want to be able to use a cup on its own. I have researched every trick/tip to try and put it in correctly without it leaking but it seems impossible and I’m not sure if it’s me or the cup? Although the case is handy and it’s easy to clean so I wish it worked as it would make my periods so simple.

I think this would be great for some, but personally I didn’t love it. I am also a virgin and first time user, but it hurt quite a lot to get in and out the first few times. I get that that’s fully normal, but when I almost passed out the last time I decided to stop there. I might go back to it, but maybe not yet.

I bought the Lily Cup 1 based on a Youtuber recommendation and I'm super happy I got it. it's so easy to use. Everyone always says "Menstrual cups are so easy to use" I was of course septic about this when it came to trying out the Lily cup but seriously everyone is so right. Using s menstrual cup is so easy and I'm so glad I got one. the lily cup seems amazing for learners like myself. I can't recommend it enough.

I chose Lily Cup One for my first cup mostly because of the ring, hoping that removing is easier with that. I have ended up NOT pulling the ring because I'm afraid it will break. I have used it only for three days now and it is really good, but I haven't managed to place it 100% right and have had leakages all the time. I think I just need more practice. But I am interested in trying a cup that is not foldable. This cup keeps folding when inserting, so it would be interesting to see if a "normal" cup would be easier to insert. Anyway it's a good choice and even though I have leakage, I have to use much less pads than before.

I bought this as my first try for a reusable product and I was amazed at how easy it was to use for my first time. I got it immediately after hearing about the tampons containing heavy metals and noticed a difference with how I felt during my period as well, no cramps, no lower back pain, and no issues with lack of hunger like I usually have!

Ladies, if you have a heavy period, run and get this!!! It took me over a year to make the jump. I was scared reading reviews from diva cup and other brands but the reviews were great for this so I made the jump and so glad I did! I used to used ultra tampons and overnight pads at the same time to stop leaking. This cup catches everything and I don’t bleed as bad as I thought. Could have been the tampons making me bleed. The first time I put it in, I put it in too far and it hurt! The 2nd time I just folded it and put it in the front and let it travel up there naturally. I can’t even feel it!!! Dump, rinse, and insert. I am loving it so far and it’s a lot cleaner than tampons and bads. Also no smell!!!
Difficult for me to use, but happy!

I'm happy with the product as a thing itself - it doesn't work for my though. It has - I think - taught my quite a bit about my actual cervix, which I didn't know anything about until I pursued using menstrual cups. Lily Cup One has taught me my cervix is likely low and narrow, and my pelvic muscles extremely tight. If you have similar anatomy to me, then don't go for this product. Here's why: fully extended it is difficult to fit inside because of the ridges (great design! just doesn't work for narrow cervixes). I also found it moved up further easily and would not come out when I tugged gently. As a result I had to pull harder and have gone through two different cups having broken the handles of each.

Lily Cup One is my second product from Intimina. I had used Lily Cup Compact size A for 5-6 years. Now, I have used Lily Cup One for one month so far. I did not have any leaks to which I am glad. Using this cup needs some adjusting, but once you get the grip on how to use it, the insertion and removal processes are seamless. It seems Lily Cup One is sturdier and Lily Cup Compact is softer - based on my experience.

I got this cup about four years ago. It’s the first cup I ever used and now it’s the only one I want to use! The loop is so amazing as I can just hook my finger through and pull. I’ve tried different cups but I’m so obsessed with this cup and sadly my cup loop broke today so now I gotta buy another one. It’s honestly amazing, I can have the cup in for 12hrs with no leaks at all!

The Lily Cup One has made my periods so much easier to manage. The learning curve for insertion was minimal, and once I got the hang of it, it's been smooth sailing. It's comfortable and eco-friendly. Highly recommended for anyone considering making the switch to a menstrual cup!

I bought this years ago as a first go with menstrual cup. The two other brands I’ve tried just weren’t cutting it for me. I repurchased the Lily Cup One twice now and have no intentions of using anything else. I love the loop on the cup rather than just a post of sorts. It compacts on itself for easier storage and travel which is a MUST for me. 10/10 would highly recommend.

Really impressed with this product, small, packs away neatly. Was a bit worried about inserting / removing but after the first go it gets easier and easier. I'm not yet at the stage of changing it over in public toilets but for home use it's great. It's let me enjoy swimming even on my period which is amazing. If you're at all intrigued by how this could change your period, I'd say go for it.

I bought mine a month ago so I've only use it for one period cycle, it's very useful and it's going to save me a lot of money, it's foldable and has a small container which is useful to leave in my bag. The only thing I find is it keeps leaking. Maybe I need to reassess how I insert the cup, but I have to wear a pad with it so I don't make a mess.

I bought this cup a year ago, and have only had to use pads or tampons a few times, because I had forgotten it. It lasts up to hours, once you get used to a cup, you almost forget you have a period, unless you have cramps. It lasted me about a year or so. There have been little to no spills.

At first I struggled with insertion and removal. I found it very uncomfortable the first few times but as someone who has never used tampons before, this was probably to be expected. Eventually I found what works (the punch down fold didn’t work for me and I find the C fold makes things easier). I have had the most PAIN FREE period. No cramps, no bloody pads to deal with, and after about 10-15 minutes I can’t even feel the menstrual cup !!! I use a water-based lubricant for insertion which I think has also helped massively.

This is my favorite cup ever. I’ve tried 3 different cups and this is definitely my favorite cup. I’m not a beginner, but i really wanted to try this one and i wish this was my first cup ever. I would’ve adapted so quick, I wouldn’t even struggle to remove . It’s easy to insert and remove and it doesn’t leak. And oh, it arrived really quick and with no damage.
A lot of pressure

Arrived today, took around half an hour to squeeze it in. When inserting through the hymen there is slight pain but once it was in the pain was there for a few seconds. I wore it for only 3 hours before I got rid of it. The cup did well in holding my blood, less than a drop of leakage. However, I could not stop feeling this heavy pressure down there. After research, I realised this might have been because the ring was sticking out but I could not at all push it further up. For reference, my canal is 7cm and I am 19 years old. Another problem I faced was my bladder felt a lot of pressure as well. Next time, I might go for an even softer and smaller cup. Removing it was a lot easier than inserting it.
