Not airtight

I like the sizes and the optional casters. But, the lids are NOT airtight. They have hinges on one side and a clip lock on the other. There is some styrofoam around the edge to try to hold them airtight. But, the lid automatically bows outward. All the styrofoam in the world won't help if the lid is lifting up off the container. It needs latches on all 4 sides to be truly secure/airtight. I bought it because we were dealing with an infestation of some kind of larvae in our dog food and this did not secure them.

Usually Iris makes great products, but these don't live up to their standards. The lids fit very poorly and would need a lot of effort to get them closed properly all the time. And if you were to use that much effort, you would probably break the cheap plastic "hinges" on the back. In addition, the casters are terrible and barely roll. I can't imagine them moving with 30 lbs of anything inside. I bought a similar product from my pet store which is much better.

Okay bin, poor lid

The wheels to the bin appear to function correctly and were easy to attach. The lid was very difficult to attach. We finally figured out that the only way to get it to attach was to lay the lid on top and try to snap the two brackets in place. Most lids like this attach in the open position and then are closed to seal. I am using it for bird seed and it easily takes a large bag of bird seed - it might take almost 2 large bags.
