[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's been some time since I've used anything from Ivory. It has a typical size and shape to a standard bar of soap. Right out of the box you can smell the warm but soft vanilla oat scent. Once you start to work it into your skin the soft sudsy lather starts unveiling gentle exfoliant apricot seeds. The seeds are small and are quite spread out from the main bulk of the bar so its not an aggressive exfoliation. The scent awakens more once you get to using it and I felt like it provide a good cleanse while sloughing away any grime or dead skin cells. I love that it's free of parabens, phthalates, and heavy perfumes, but the addition of synthetic colorants like D&C Yellow No. 10 is disappointing. I can't know whether it's coal or petroleum that makes Yellow No. 10 in this particular soap, but do we really even need synthetically color our products anymore?
