Q: The ingredients on this package are different than other ones I have found online. Specifically, they lack an allergen I'm avoiding: cocamidopropyl betaine. (Yay!) Is this the newest/current formula?

I was hoping the previous reviews were wrong, but they are right. While the label says "Original Scent," the scent with the new packaging is completely different and not in a good way. I've been using this soap for years, and now, unfortunately, I'm on a hunt for a new brand. Will return.

Lever 2000 changed its formula since Covid and the smell is a terrible. I can only describe it as a spoiled milk, yet somehow chemical smell. I have used this product for decades and I am now looking for a suitable replacement. Go back to your old formula or you will continue to lose customers. I don't even mind paying a little extra to keep the product the same as it used to be. I have a hard time believing this past a consumer testing panel.

I have been using this soap for decades. It is the only soap that doesn't irritate me. I just re-orderd and the packaging is different. No biggie, but the formula must've changes becasue it has a stronger heavy detergent smell. I don't like the smell and I KNOW that if I wash with that I will react to it in a negative way.

If I could give this soap a zero rating I would. The smell is vile and my shower still smells hours later. It smells like Fabuloso. I can't speak for everyone, but I don't want to smell like floor cleaner.

Used to love this soap. Not anymore. I noticed it is manufactured in Indonesia. Why not in America?

I started using Lever 2000 when it very first came out and loved it. However lately it doesn’t seem the same. Different smell and doesn’t leave my skin with that really clean feel. Now that I’m reading all these reviews, I know I’m not crazy. You guys changed the formula. Why oh why do companies always take a good thing and ruin it? So disappointing. I’d beg you to change it back but you obviously don’t care what the customers think. Judging by all these terrible reviews , you haven’t done anything to fix the problem which tells me you don’t care. It’s all about money and convenience for you. Profit over people

I have been using this bar soap for years....including my family members that have sensitive skin and allergies to particular scents. This new formulation has a perfumy-medicine type scent that makes my daughter sneeze. The original scent (for over 20 years) was the best....very refreshing scent, lathered well, did not irritate skin, etc.... unfortunately, I need to search for a new brand of bar soap. It's interesting to me that so many companies, that have remarkable products with a huge fan base, for some reason decide to change the formulation of a great product.
