JBL Charge 5 Portable Bluetooth Waterproof Speaker

bought this for a trip and it really came in handy. very easy to set up and good volume compared to other speakers.

have had it for 5 years and it still works very we!

I have bought 2 they sound great. I may be too picky here but it would be good if you could switch them on and off with the app!

It's a nice little speaker but it sure does pack a punch. Good, deep base and a large range of volume. The app also allows a small amount of customization which is nice.

I bought this about 2-3 months ago. I use it daily. The sound is great. However the battery life is worse than my charge 4 by a long shot. I’m lucky to get 5-7 hours of ply time from it. Very disappointing.

Bought this to use as a car stereo in my otherwise music-free fleet vehicle at work, as well as for camping. I will say that the sound quality is good. Distortion free, full range from the high notes to the bass. And it can take a beating, as advertised. Didn't get a chance to put the water resistance to the test, but it stood up to a range of high and low temperatures, and heavy winds carrying dust, and even falling off the dashboard a couple times without faltering. However, that's where the legitimacy of its claims end. Even at full volume, I couldn't hear the music if I walked more than 80' from the truck (engine off, no competing noise). Similarly, camping in the middle of nowhere I had it sitting on the hood of my rig and it wasn't loud enough to make out from the perimeters of camp. And the battery life is abysmal. Far from the advertised "up to 20 hrs." I was lucky if I made it through an 8 hour workday before it quit on me. Never tried to charge my phone from it, because it couldn't even hold a charge itself. I should have listened to my coworkers, who said JBL's quality has gone downhill in recent years. Instead I went with the "known" name. Learned my lesson. Will not buy from JBL again.

Not worth the price. In a few months even with irregular use age, the sound is distorted and makes music unendurable on this device.

I bought a personalized Charge 5 and am impressed with how it turned out. The graphics are sharp and clear, with no imperfections. It sounds just as good as my other Charge 5 speakers, of which I have three, for a surround sound. Together they sound like a concert, which is an awesome way to hear them. It connects easily to my IPhone and party mode with no issues. The battery lasts for 20 hours and charges in about 4 hours. I am impressed with it and use it about everyday listening to my music mixes. I am truly love the JBL quality and workmanship. I am glad to have purchased this speaker, and hope to get a lot of use out if it.

Great product. Great battery life. Over all great sound quality and the app that adds 3 band EQ, That’s great too. Party boost is another great feature. Compared to other brand speakers at this price this one is the champ (especially the depth of bass).

I’ve had my charge 5 for a few years now and still am obsessed with it! The sound quality is fantastic and it pairs with my phone, ipad, and macbook pro seamlessly. Additionally, it survived floating around in flood water for 5 hours when our house flooded during a hurricane. Gave it a rinse when I found it again and it still plays like it just came out of the box! Battery still is going strong and holds the charge well!

My speaker is a custom design and it looks awesome. The design is awesome and looks just like the design I made for it. It isn't too hard to do a design as the web page guides you through the process. The sound is sharp and crisp with booming bass. It works like my other speakers, with no drops in sound quality during playback. This speaker is great for everyday listening or for throwing a party, as it connects to other speakers with party boost for a truly amazing stereo sound. The only con I have found is the status light when the battery is about to die isn't too bright as it is a red colored light to alert you to charge it up. The charging light is blue and can be seen while it's charging. Other than that it is an awesome speaker.

I love this! Nice & loud. The bass is amazing. Not too big, not too small. Just right to take to the beach or out somewhere. I love that I was able to personalize it with my own pic.
