I have been looking for a good sound bass EarPods and these did not disappoint. I love that they fit on your ear rather than inside. The inner ear pods made my ears itch and these are just perfect. I can 100% recommend.

So I bought these to replace some JBL earbuds that were discontinued. I fully went into these knowing that they were not going to function like my beats earbuds. I fully understand that apple has proprietary tech that allows using their hardware easier. Still I was curious about the out of ear design. After 2 months: The sound is great, the interaction is sketchy. So 1st the controls on the buds is not intuitive. I definitely would prefer a tactile button. 2nd, I like to roll around using only 1 bud. If I select the left bud, I have no option on volume reduction or even turning it off. I have to pull the bud out to get away from it (I find this the most frustrating). And the runner up for frustrating is the pairing. It’s not intuitive on apple devices. Perhaps these will coexist better on androids. I paired them with my ipad for temporary use. Then later in the day went into the yard to do some work. Every time I got near the house they connected to my ipad and told me so. So it was a few hours of listening to this. Eventually coming in to unpair them. Now trying to repair is also cumbersome. Overall, coming from the apple ecosystem. I think these were a mistake for me. I much prefer the way apple product seamlessly pair and move from device to device.

Thank you for your inquiry. If you are pairing a new source device, enabling Bluetooth on the device is necessary so that it can discover the product. Find the unit on the Bluetooth list and select it. Test it by playing music. If this does not solve the problem, you will need to do a reset and manually re-pair again. To reset JBL Soundgear Sense. Tap twice on either the left or right earbud, tap again for the third time, then hold for 5 seconds. For further assistance, please contact customer support.

Sound quality is pretty good. However I am having an issue with the battery life between the two ear pieces. The left ear piece drains down double the time the right ear piece does.. I just use them to listen to music and they are fully charged when in use. I end up losing the left one 2 hrs in..

Thanks for your feedback. Please know that it's possible that the battery on the left earbud of your JBL Soundgear Sense is losing its capacity. Volume and usage can affect the battery's life. Even if listening at maximum volume to heavy bass music, the battery should last longer than 60% of the published playtime. For further assistance, please contact our customer support.

For me, these earphones check the comfy aspect because they go over the ear, with a snug fir, and not directly in your ear which can be uncomfortable. In addition, their box is very easy to carry and can fit in your pocket. Lastly, these earphones have a very long battery life which is amazing since I only have to charge them two times a week max. In the end, these earphones bring so much value to my life since I need them for work and fitness-related purposes.

I decided to jump in and buy these open ear earbuds in the hope that they would help with the following in order of importance; 1) Get rid of the air-lock sensation in my ears when talking on Zoom calls caused by most in-ear earbuds. 2) Avoid the fatigue and discomfort caused by wearing in-ear earbuds for prolonged periods. 3) Continue to enjoy excellent sound for work and play. These earbuds delivered on all of these goals so I am now enjoying listening to music again - even while working as I don't have the urge to rip them off as soon as a call has finished. My only quibble (but not enough to take away a star) is that the case feels a little cheap and is difficult to open. But the comfort and sound quality are excellent!

I have been using this product for about a month now. I am quite happy with the performance of these headphones. I often use this while going to work or traveling to talk to relatives and friends. Earlier I used to have the issue with background noise being too overwhelming but with this headphone, I don't have any issue at all. since these earphones are not plug-in type, my ears don't pain even after continuously listening to music. Also due to the behind-the-ear support, I don't have to worry about losing them while exercising or running around. The headphones come in a nice black casing which is also made of pretty good quality material. The quality of sound is another thing that has impressed me, even with noncontact types, I get to enjoy the music while also being aware of the surroundings without losing any quality in the music sound. Due to this, i have even started using them for work on the go.

I say that because headphones, earbuds, wired or wireless are my, how do I say, my forte' These feel like an open air concert, similar to open air over the ear headphones of very, very high quality. There is so much to be said but, I will tell you the two best things about these truly wireless JBL SOUNDGEAR SENSE. The way JBL/Harmon engineerd these is completely new to me! Now remember I said headphones are my thing. Ive tried over 100 and kept about 30 pair in my entire collection. The SOUNDGEAR SENSE provide those exciting highs and lush sub bass notes in such a creative way. They are ready to the real world. There is a method to all of these amazing ideas. Its fascinating! These larger ear buds are all there. The comfort is all there. Especially for me, and you for all these reasons. You have the sound quality and fit as a great approach bordering on or actually being bone conducting buds! They dont sit over or in your ear, they transmit so beautifully. Its all there. Everything transmits wirelessly wirhout missing a beat. Thats the second reason. They are perfect for outside activities. Yes, fun in the sun mountain biking while listening to my favorite mix, without artificial ambiant control, its naturally a sweeter sound. Being that these are truly wireless, I can hear whats going on around me just enough to be safe! I can play all day with SOUNGEAR SENSE. The importance of knowing whats going on around you is no joke! So here we have both requests answered. Outstanding audio performance whilst allowing awareness of the surroundings. These never existed and I am honored to use and own them. They are that good! Remember, other people may hear your fav tracks too as the characteristics of the build. Yes, I absolutely love the concept, executed perfectly. I only wish I found them sooner.

The sound is better than dept store ear buds, however they are not on par with the more expensive headphones- mainly due to sound quality. The sound is some muffled- not clear bass or voice range. Strengths - they stay in my ear, and block room /background noise out. I use them at my desk for work-primary usage. I will wear them when outdoors- due to they grip around ear 👂 in comfortable way.

Thanks for your feedback. We're here to help. This might be caused by the sonic quality of your source, depending on what you are listening to, EQ Settings, or Source Device. If you're using an EQ, you may try to turn it off, or if not, try turning it on and boosting the bass. Try connecting the earbuds to other source devices. You may also reset it by turning on both earbuds and not charging, tapping two times, and holding the button on the third tap for more than 5 seconds. You may need to 'forget' the headphones in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet to pair them again. If these steps don't work, please contact our customer support for further assistance.

They are an over the ear model with the option to connect them with a lightweight plastic bar to hold them more firmly on you head. The buds were very comfortable to wear, they do not fit into the ear canal, they rest on your ear. Takes getting used to if you’re like me and prefer in ear models. The sound quality is exceptional, you need the download the JBL app to your phone to be able to customize the sound settings for bass/treble. Not difficult at all. Battery life is adequate and will vary depending on your use for listening to music or constant phone use. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate these ear buds a solid 9. You could spend more for another brand but I don’t think you’ll find anything close to this quality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound quality is great but I wasn’t impressed by the max volume level. I work in a loud environment and these earbuds are not ideal for that. When I use them during exercise, they work really well. They fit around my ear well and stay in place. I really like that they are light weight. I can barely feel them and they don’t cause my ears to hurt. Also, I have not had any problems with the battery life of the earbuds.

Punchy open-ear Earbuds!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For those who do not like the feel of in-ear buds or have tiny ear canals and can't even fit a small earbud in the ear, these are a great choice! The sound quality is superb even without the suction that most earbuds have/need to sound good. Bass is definitely present but if you are only looking for the best and deepest bass, these are not them. That being said, for an open-ear earbud even Drake and Bad Bunny's music sounds good. On the complete opposite side of music, Jazz and Orchestral sound great. Overall you will not be disappointed! These ear-buds come with a running strap that goes behind your head, but even while running, HITT, or weight lifting these earbuds stay on by themselves. These earbuds even have a pivot on them so you can place the speaker exactly over your ear canal! On a packed bus at 50% volume you can still have a conversation and not need to turn your music off, though if you want to the earbuds have a nice touch pad on the whole face of the speaker so you dont have to touch one specific place to change the volume, skip songs, and answer calls. At 90-100% volume you get no distortion and almost drown out those around you talking on a bus, but the whole purpose of these buds is to be able to hear your surroundings so you can't fault them for not being noise canceling. Overall, anyone would be happy with these and you won't get the fatigue of wearing them like in-ear earbuds do and you wont mess up your hair like an overhead headphone would!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try these out since I was never a big fan of ear buds. I had always used earphone that were either studio monitor headphone or, when being active, small earphones that hooked around your ears. (WAS JBL reading my mind??) So I now have these around the ear audio buds that are wireless and have AMAZING JBL audio. The drivers are these are quite large and are able to provide plenty of bass without stuffing something into your ear canal - and I truly appreciate that. It has always been one of my biggest gripes with traditional earbuds. But these sit outside of your ear canal and provide the audio quality you expect from JBL. This does allow for ambient sound awareness at all times which is fine for me at all times except when using power equipment. At those time I will continue to use noise cancelling products, but these earphones are a big winner for me!! And really, the amount of bass that is present is exceptional! I don't know how they do it, I'm just glad they did!! The case is larger than any earbud case I have had before, but that is expected since the ear phones are also larger. I have yet to really even get close to full discharge on either the ear phones or the case. My assumption is that battery life is longer on both since they have more space for batteries. It definitely outlasts my previous since I go to charge out of habit and the status bar glows at me saying "Really?? Give me a workout!!" These do come with a band that affix the the end of each ear loop and go around the back of your neck. This is a great accessory for extra strenuous activity that might cause the ear phones to dislodge. Just an extra bit of security that I appreciate. And f course, there is a JBL app that you can download that lets you customize the sound of your earphones. In the app, you can pick a predetermine equalizer setting, or adjust to your own liking. You can also change the 'gesture" settings to whatever you are used to, adjust balance, and even set a power off time for the phones. I really only have two complaints and these are really nitpicky. Neither one affects these ear phones at all. 1) The length of the charging cable provided could be a few inches longer. I don't know if it's just my house, but whenever using a JBL plug, the cases are kind of dangling in air. Just a few more inches would allow it to sit flat on my counter top. 2) The provided band that connects to the ear phones have to travel on their own. There is no way to attach the band to the case when traveling to keep thing together. At the same time, I do not have a better solution for this either, so I don't blame JBL for providing the nice bonus of the head band. Again, neither of these complaints detracts from this fabulous setup and I am extremely pleased with this product!!
