Crafted from hand-selected Northern hard rock maple wood, this chopping board exemplifies environmental responsibility and quality craftsmanship. The cutting board features a reversible design, so you can use both sides when cutting various foods. For added versatility, you can even use the butcher block as a serving piece for fruits, cheeses, and more. The 1.5-inch thickness provides an elevated surface, and the board is easily portable for simple storing and maneuvering.
The board comes with a cream finish with beeswax that seals and protects the cutting board. Featuring a natural, rectangular look with a modern design will make this cutting board stand out from ordinary wood or plastic boards. When finished meal prepping, simply hand wash with soap and cool water to clean.

Embarrassing craftsmanship. Gouges, cracks in the wood, and rough patches. The worst cutting board quality I have ever seen. Have they no quality control? Embarrassing for $125. Straight back to the store it goes.

The board is lighter than expected which makes for easy moving. The rounded edges and finger grips on the side are the perfect touch. The board has held up very nicely. It such a beautiful piece that I don’t mind it sitting on the counter. It could easily pass as decoration. The size is perfect. Not too big, not too small. Perfect to utilize as a cutting board and beautiful enough to serve on. I’m highly impressed with the quality and craftsmanship and would recommend to all my friends and family. It’s a beautiful and functional piece.

I love the size to cut all my veggies. Being a vegetarian, I cook daily, and both my husband and I love cutting veggies on this board. We eliminated plastic cutting boards as it constantly scratches and chips. Love it!

It looks beautiful, the color is rich, it's smooth to the touch, and is of excellent quality! The indents on both sides are nice for handling and moving. The size is perfect, not only for using as a cutting board but also as a charcuterie board. Maintenance of the board is easy and it comes with instructions on how to care for your board.

This is the smallest board made in this style, and I was afraid it would be too small, but it fits well on my counter. The board is a bit heavy, but I’m using a towel under it anyway to keep it from slipping. I DO NOT WANT TO BREAK THIS. The wood is very sturdy and strong. There was no penetration into the board with cutting or slicing. On top of that it’s really beautiful just sitting out. I can’t wait to use this more to see how it wears. My father has some beautiful cutting blocks of his own that have lasted over 50 years with regular care. I’m sure this one will last too. I’m going to treat it with olive oil before using it again, as it dried out a bit when I took it out of the packaging, but other than that the performance is awesome! I would definitely recommend this to any cooking enthusiast who loves quality tools. It would make an excellent and memorable gift as well.

This vendor (Spreetail) is inflating the prices of Boos cutting boards and then putting them on “sale” but the sale prices are just the regular prices found on John Boos website. The cutting boards themselves are great 5 stars for the cutting board) but this vendor is immoral for trying to trick its customers into thinking they’re getting a deal/discount. Don’t give your money to this vendor and just get your cutting board straight from Boos website.

It looks good left out on a counter just as it is. The wood is easy to clean and care for and has notched hand holds to easily lift it up. Wooden cutting boards are nice for keeping knives sharp, and I appreciate the size of this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an older, second-hand Boos kitchen cart and know that their products are built to stand the test of time so when we wanted to add a large butcher block another Boos was an easy choice. The 24"x18"x1.5" size is absolutely massive, we plan to use it primarily for vegetable prep and dough but it would be an ideal size for large cuts of meat like briskets and racks of ribs. This particular board is edge grain (long pieces laid horizontally, end grain is small pieces standing on their ends) and has recessed grips on the sides making it easy to move or turn over to use the reverse side. It's a nice looking piece that Since it is reversible we did choose to go ahead and treat both sides with both the Mystery Oil and Board Creme. We used their applicator as well and instructions were clear and easy to follow. We treat one side and wait about two days before flipping to treat the reverse. A cutting board this size and quality is a investment that will last a lifetime with proper care.

After reading about the plastic particles that can find their way into your food, I decided to go with the brand I always seem to see on cooking shows. This cutting board is luxurious. Nothing I throw at it leaves a mark, and it even comes with what you need to take full care of it. I plan to purchase a few smaller ones as well just to make sure I have every size for every job.

It's beautiful and very well constructed. My very sharp knives keep their edges with this board. This is solid and heavy, does not slide around when using. I'm very pleased with my cutting board. An excellent board that just does it's job, day in and day out. If you get this board you will probably never have to buy another board again. It's the very best brand and the only one I use.

It is of high quality and a very solid piece. It is large enough to prepare multiple food items on it at once. Clean up is easy and the side area handles provide ease of moving the board to different areas. The care and maintenance kit is a wonderful addition to help maintain the beauty and durability of the block.There could be storage issues due to the size of it. I am just leaving it on the kitchen counter as it just adds beauty and a wow factor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Boos Blocks Hard Rock Maple Cutting Board is built for heavy duty use. It's a large size at 18" x 24" and approximately 1.5" thick. I was pleasantly surprised to learn recently that wood blocks are better long term for being more sanitary and more resistant to bacteria than the plastic boards I have previously been using. It's quite heavy, so really best suited for larger kitchens with a place to leave it on your counter top. It does have indents on both of the shorter sides for easy carrying, but someone who can't lift a lot might have trouble moving it around. It was easy to wipe down after use, and showed very few marks after using multiple times. I also had no problem with it staining from the different colored vegetables I cut. One of the things I liked most was that it didn't move at all during use. The large surface also meant I could move items off to the side and keep cutting more rather than having to stop to make space. It's a really nice looking board and a great addition to my kitchen.

I love that it has enough surface area to prepare each item separately, comfortably (and doesn't seem to have any limitations as to what can be cut on it). The other benefit to its size and weight is that it doesn't shift when in use. Then again, its heft makes it difficult to maneuver. Thankfully, it is equipped with handholds on either side to ease the process. Additionally, it is reversible which adds to its durability. To its credit, the board's beauty is in its simplicity. Who knew a cutting board could be a statement piece?! I proudly display it on my counter as a conversation starter. The only drawback to the product is the effort it takes to keep it in working order. I have the oil and cream to preserve the board's beauty, but with application every 3-4 weeks, it is more work intensive than any other cutting board I've ever owned. I also would have appreciated a little more guidance concerning how to clean it properly without water as this is my first wood cutting board. Nonetheless, I love this piece and highly recommend it.

I can do all of my prep work on it whether I am baking or getting ready to serve meat off the grill. Keep in mind, it is a big heavy block of wood so storage could be difficult if you don't have cabinet space. If storage is a problem we leave ours out on the counter because of how pretty it is.
