Q: Will this cover grey blonde hair?

A: Hi Erika! This product was not designed to cover grey hair. Grey hair does not contain any color pigments in it and since this product removes color pigments to lighten the hair, the technology would not be effective at covering grey. However, if you are not completely grey, it is possible that your grey hairs may appear less noticeable as your surrounding blonde hair gets lighter from using the product though.

Q: Is this permanent in hair (and how long does it stay in,) and after it lightens hair for a while, does hair go back to the natural hair color it was before the dye?

A: Hi Sabrina! When used with our Go Blonder Lightening Shampoo, this will gradually lighten blonde strands. It is not permanent and with discontinued use, your hair will go back to its natural color. However, other products from our Go Blonder line like our Go Blonder Controlled Lightening Spray and In-Shower Lightening Treatment will permanently lighten your hair. We hope this helps!

So many of the reviews are fake. Many say "soft" and "great scent" at the end, in barely discernable ways. Be careful, and Target, up your review game or cut out the reviews from the product's website.

Honestly I do not think it did anything to my hair. It was very drying and I did not notice a difference after weeks of using it. You will probably need a hair mask to pair with this or to double up on conditioner with a different kind due to how drying this is.

So the product works. It does lighten your hair. But after using it for 2 months (2x a week) I have come to the conclusion that it is this that is making my hair fall out from the root. I would get a tingling feeling after using it and didn't think much of it (tree tea shampoos are notorious for tingles). I ignored it at first. Then I noticed I could see more of my scalp. Thought it was because it was lightening it... then I realized that it was because my hair was a lot thinner than it was. So into the trash it goes and I will spend the next year repairing my hair.

My hair stylist told me the day I was going to go blonde to completely avoid products like this that lighten the hair. They are filled with chemicals that can have a reaction to bleach and melt your hair, making it fall out. It is almost more likely to turn darker hair orange and make it more difficult to tone and bleach out. Hope this helps someone!

I found this conditioner to be pointless. I only let the shampoo set for about 20 seconds, used this, and my hair was toasted. I have really healthy hair but this didn't help any of the damage from the shampoo. I don't understand how a conditioner that you only keep in for a brief time is supposed to lighten your hair. I'd recommend trying the shampoo but use a different conditioner. a hair mask would be good. the main perk is it smells nice.

My hair used to be brown before using the whole collection! I absolutely LOVE these. It does take some time but if your patient, you’ll love your results! It says it doesn’t work on brown hair, but it worked on mine!! My hair is natural. I use this every other day along with a blue and purple shampoo! Follow instructions!!

Maybe I notice a difference. I’m not really sure. I use this same brand purple shampoo for my highlights and I think it makes more of difference than this actually does. I’ll keep using it until it’s gone but I probably won’t buy again.
