A: The chili spin 360™ is a rotating convertible car seat attached to the base; the seat can not be separated from the base. It stays installed in the car. A rotating car seat is perfect for Grandparents who struggle to carry infant car seats. Simple turn the seat toward you to make it easier to load and buckle, baby! Once baby is properly secured, turn the seat to the locked rearward or forward-facing position.

A: The Chili Spin 360 can be used until your children weigh 65 lb. or 49 inches (whichever comes first). However, the tether is not used when rear-facing, so it must be removed when switching from forward-facing to rear-facing (or when switching from rear-facing to forward-facing, it must be installed). Also, the blue level indicator must be in the window for proper rear-facing installation.

This car seat was not my top choice but we decided to give it a try because the price is great and I love this car seat so much. So much that we bought another one for my husband’s truck and it surprisingly fits well since rotating car seats tend to not be compact. My 15m old (on the small side) seems to be very comfy and loves being in her “big girl seat”. Install is comparable to other car seats so it’s not too difficult. I haven’t had to clean it yet but I do wish the cup holders were removable and I wish the seat itself came off the base for easy cleaning but for the price I would recommend this seat. I do wish the material was flame retardant free but otherwise it’s amazing quality for the price.

I was looking forward to installing this seat. I did hours of research and Joie appears to be a well reputed brand in Europe, so I decided to give them a try. Upon opening, I was not impressed with the weight of the seat and the quality of the overall seat. The weight was awkwardly distributed and made it difficult to carry in order to transfer from car to car. As for the quality of materials used, I was not impressed. The cushions seemed thin and the buckles felt cheap. Although the 360° feature was smooth, the handle to pull in order to spin felt cheap as well. I felt as though it would have not lasted. Overall, I ended up not even installing and just returned.

One thing that bothers me is that the cup holders are NOT removal. My 4 month old doesn’t need cup holders. Lol & my bigger kids can’t use them because they’re also in car seats so they can’t reach them. Second thing, the shoulder pads are like ROCKS. SO HARD! They do not bend at all. Luckily my baby weighs enough so I could remove them. It says you can remove them once they’re 22lbs. I swapped them out for the pads off of our maxi Cosi infant seat. I would’ve returned it just because of the shoulder pads if my baby didn’t weigh enough. But other than those 2 things, I love the seat. Very convenient. Very comfy. Looks great. Is raised up high enough so our other seats don’t touch it & it can still rotate with a car seat on each side.
Such a help for this pregnant momma!

I’m pregnant, and it was getting difficult to help her into a non-spinning car seat. Now, I don’t have to lean over, which is such a relief. Plus, my toddler thinks the spinning feature is so much fun! We plan on using it for our baby once he’s born too, as I’ll be having a C-section and won’t be able to lean over a traditional seat. It’s been a game-changer for us, and I highly recommend it!

Having hard time deciding if I like this car seat or not. Spin is so smooth and it’s. easy to install. You can easily spin it with one hand and the spin latch is easily accessible. I love the price and it’s pretty good quality and comfortable. Taking the seat covers off and washing them and putting them back on isn’t hard. One thing I find annoying is that in order to adjust the recline you have to uninstall it or at least unbuckle it then recline it where you want then buckle the seat back in again. Lame feature. You should be able to adjust recline without having to mess with install of car seat. It’s not super bulky, but not super slim either however I do like the size and think it’s a good medium sized car seat compared to those on the market. My biggest complaint is the rattling. I have taken it out and installed it multiple times, sat in the backseat to try and find where it rattles and it sounds like it comes from the base on the inside. I don’t know if that is unique to my car seat or what but it is super frustrating. I may end up emailing them to see if I can get another one sent to me just to see. I have seen one other review where there was rattling so I don’t know if other people aren’t having problems or if I just happened to get a bad seat. If it wasn’t for the rattling I would love this car seat. And if the recline was better that would be a huge bonus-the car seat would be perfect with and without those 2 things

My toddler was getting harder and harder to get into the car seat but I didn’t love any of the 360 options until I saw this! It has a great fit in my car and my toddler is way more comfortable! Although I wish the weight limit was higher, my 2.5 year old still fits perfectly rear facing. It has a little slot for the manual, loops for the buckles to rest in and overall is wonderful quality. Will most definitely be upgrading my youngest once she’s old enough. One caveat, if you will be moving the seat back & forth between cars this may not be for you, it can take a bit to install but I think that’s why I love the fit so much.

I am very disappointed in this seat. The quality at first appeared to be decent, but the more I use it the more I realize how cheap of a car seat this is (especially in comparison to our Chicco rotating seat). 1). I did not realize this is not FR free (this is a fault on my part for not realizing this), 2). this seat rattles like crazy. I can be driving down an essentially new paved road and it is constant jingling and banging in the back seat (kid or not in the seat), it drives me absolutely insane and makes me wonder about the safety of the seat. There are multiple rattling noises, but the one most concerning sound like a metal rattling from the latch system - I worry it is something broken or loose. 3). It wobbles a lot more than a car seat should (and yes it is correctly installed). This probably also contributes to some of the noise I hear and also is a major safety concern for me. 4). The shoulder pads are very awkward. They are stiff and uncomfortable. They also prevent the head rest from being in a better/more comfy position for my baby, because if I move the head rest down at all, the shoulder pads also go lower and with how stiff they are make him not able to lay back fully in the seat. I would never recommend anyone to buy this seat even if its on sale for a good price. I have contacted Joie customer service with my safety concerns of #2 &3 with videos as proof, and they have blown me off saying "Some noise during use is normal" - it most definitely is not normal, if they consider this normal than that also proves how low of quality the seat is. They also completely ignored the fact of the seat being very wobbly. I would return it if I could, but unfortunately my husband threw the box away. I am now stuck with a $200 car seat that I don't even feel safe putting my baby in, but can't afford another - so now I am down a car seat. What a waste.

We have had this seat for about a month. My kid will finally go into the seat! After a 30 minute battle in the Target parking lot ending in tears for the both of us, I knew I had to find a better car seat for my child. After much research I found this Joie! OMG so much better! The seat is higher up so they can see out of the windows & watch what is going on. The material is nice and wipes clean. Definitely worth the price!!

I was looking for a rotating carseat for my 18 month old as it was getting harder and harder to get him in and out of the car as he got taller. This one was the most affordable while seeming like great quality! It is a great alternative to a more expensive brand I was looking at. It was super easy to install, easy to use and clean, and my son can reach the cup holders on it much easier that he could on our old Graco. I have only had it for a few weeks but think it will end up holidng up over time. The only downside I would note is that the seat that it is behind has to be moved up pretty far (now only I can sit in the passenger seat of my car and not my 6' husband), BUT I don't think that this is unique to this brand. All rotating carseat have a bigger base to accomodate the rotating function.

I just installed this car seat today, so far I am liking it. The lock off does seem a little flimsy to me so I do wonder how well that will hold up for the 10 years of use. I also am not a big fan of the visible lock off, since I know my baby is going to kick it and mess with it as he gets older. I wish there was some kind of cover over it to hide it. I do love that this seat is a little smaller in the space it takes up so my kids can easily get around it when it’s rotated to get in the third row of our van. The instructions weren’t the best for the install and could have been more clear. For example, you need to select the recline you want to use before tightening the car seat in and locking it off, since that whole piece moves when you adjust the recline. I would say this is the best and safest feeling car rotating car seat we’ve tried so far.
