Jurassic World: Chaos Theory Gigantic Trackers Styxosaurus Dinosaur Figure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JURASSIC WORLD GIGANTIC TRACKERS Styxosaurus could have been a really engaging toy, but the size leaves it a little disappointing. I'm not sure why they called this a gigantic tracker when it's so small compared to other Jurassic World toys that we have. The functionality is really cool because the flippers, neck, and mouth can be operated from the tail. As with some of the other Jurassic World toys, I was initially worried about the durability of the teeth, but they're actually a softer material which leaves them a lot more resilient when my kids are jamming action figures and parts of other dinosaurs into the mouth. I just wish this was about twice the size since the scale seems so much smaller compared to other toys in the lineup. As a result, my kids sometimes leave this one out when they're setting up Jurassic World play scenes.

Always like a new swimming dinosaur, although 24 dollars is a lot, Target usually puts them on sale every now and then. That makes it a great buy! Cool colors and nice articulation.

He is very into dinosaurs, and ocean animals, so he is always very excited for the marine reptiles from the Jurassic World line. This one is medium sized, and has nice blue and red coloring. We like the addition of some battle scars as well. My sons favorite this about this toy is how moving the tail up or down moves the neck/head. And twisting the tail side to side moves the flippers. He also really likes that the mouth opens and closes, to catch unsuspecting action figures.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both my 5 and 8 year old boys love this Styxosarus. They say he looks like a dragon! His red spikes on his back are a hit. You can move his fins up and down. When you push on his head he opens and shuts his mouth. This guy is really ferocious looking!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cool toy. My child loves this toy. He loves taking it to the bath. It's harder for younger kids to hold to make the head bob up and down the make the mouth open. Also the spikes near the base of the tail are a little more sharp than I like. They could potentially hurt a child. Like that the fins also move to mimic the movement through water.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Jurassic Park fans here, we have so many dinosaurs and this is a great new addition. I thought we had all the figures until this one. The Styxosaurus is a pretty cool looking dinosaur, move his tail up and down and he thrashed his head and chrome, move it side to side and the fins move. He is a great addition to my sons collection.

We have a ton of Jurassic World/Park toys, so we naturally have a lot of the "classics-" multiple Velociraptors, T-Rex, Triceratops, etc.- but I love the variety that they make. We always try to get the more unique ones, especially the "water dinosaurs," and this one does not disappoint! Firstly, it is BIG! I posted a few photos, and the "human" figure is a little less than 4 inches tall, so this beasty is about a foot long. He looks awesome, too- highly detailed (as usual), and the colors are so cool! The play features of this dino are really, really fun! The tail controls them: when you turn the tail left, the front flippers move up, when you turn it left, the front flippers move down; so, when you turn it back and forth, it does a neat "swimming" motion. When you push the tail up or down, the long neck moves up and down, and its toothy jaws open and close. It's really fun! The only thing that might be a minus to some kids is that it isn't designed to be a "water toy," so it doesn't float, but as long as that isn't important to your kiddo, this is an AWESOME toy, and I'm really glad that we got it!!!

It seems quite a sturdy and solid toy so should withstand lots of dinosaur attacks! The packaging is good for the environment as it is more minimal than a full cardboard box around it and plastic viewing window. It's his new favourite dinosaur!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product just in time for my son’s 5th birthday. He wanted a Godzilla dinosaur party which made this product even better. When he opened it up he was so excited. We loved seeing how the mouth moved while moving the tail. There is a special place to pull out a QR code for there online game as well! We played in his kinetic sand with the dinosaur as well as some water. He has played with them everyday since. The toy itself is bigger than expected. The mouth, legs and tail all move. The teeth on the mouth are very cool there large with the mouth being able to open wide enough to hold a smaller thing. My son put sand in it and another dinosaur. My husband and I both like the colors are dark but vibrant. The face is kinda scary which is to be expected for a Dino.

My eight-year-old loves this toy. He is so creative in general, but with this toy, his creativity really shine through. He is a huge fan of Jurassic World. Love it.

The mouth opened and when you move the tail the flippers move making it a joy to play with. It’s made great however the flippers do sometimes pull out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son is big into prehistoric aquatic reptiles and you don’t see as many of those as the land dinos as toys :) so we had to have this Styxosaurus. He’s been playing with it in the bathtub for a couple weeks now; it’s been a great addition to the “sea monster collection.” The paint is just scary/creepy enough and holding up really well to all the water play. It’s not quite as big as I thought it would be with “gigantic” in the name but still sizable. We all love the Jurassic World app QR feature and seeing it in augmented reality!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon seeing him the packaging, my sons were immediately interested in this Styxosaurus, who appears very fierce and is very unique looking! This aquatic dino has realistic colors, textures and features, including sharp teeth – which immediately appealed to my young sons who love all things dino. Moving the dino’s tail up and down creates a biting/attacking action, and moving his tail side to side makes his fins paddle/swim. There is also a hidden plastic piece on his back that pops-up and has a tracking code to use in the Jurassic World Play App. This toy has held up well to some rough play and seems very durable. The size is also great! It is larger than a lot of our handheld dinosaurs, but not so gigantic that it can’t be easily stored. Overall, my young sons love creative and imaginative play and have really enjoyed playing with this addition to their dino collection.

The vivid colors and moving motions with its fins & jaws was sure to keep him busy and interested in this action figure along with his indominus rex!! With the jurassic world play app he was able to add it to his collection and have awesome activities in app. The atenttion to detail is amazing as always! My son loved his new dinosaur!!

Moving the tail up and down opens the mouth. Teeth are a softer plastic which is good for younger kids so they don’t lose a finger. Kids like it
